* Roll – the most neutral/general term; widely understood across the UK
* Bap – soft, often larger roll; common in Scotland, NI & parts of England
* Bun – general term; often used for burgers
* Barm (cake) – North-West England, especially Manchester/Lancashire
* Cob – East Midlands, especially Nottingham/Derby/Leicester
