FOTO RECAP vom diesjährigen SISTER HOOD FESTIVAL 2022. Das Festival fand zum ersten Mal in der Form eines dreitägigen internationalen Netzwerktreffens statt. Es war wunderschön zu erleben, dass so viele urbane Tänzer*innen aus NRW teilgenommen haben, alte Bekannte sowie neue Gesichter aus der Szene und auch Tänzerinnen aus Belgien und Frankreich! Kulturelles Wissen wurde von 4 internationalen Kulturbotschafterinnen Hendricks aka Dricks (Belgien), Lucie Plavcová alias Sweemo (Tschechien), Nuria, „Nuri“ Beltran Fernandez (Spanien) und Santu Mamona (Italien) sowie der weltweit bekannten Breaking-Pionierin Ana "Rokafella" Garcia aus den USA weitergegeben. Letztere hielt eine auch für alle Interessierte offene digitale Lecture über die Entstehung der Hip Hop Kultur in New York City und das Rollenverstädnis für sie als B-Girl. Die Teilnehmerinnen aus NRW erhielten einen Stipendienplatz und konnten am Programm durch eine Förderung des MKJFGFI NRW kostenlos teilnehmen.

Eine Veranstaltung der LAG Tanz NRW unter künstlerischer Leitung von Daniela Rodriguez Romero in Kooperation und Initiative von Ladies Dance - women for women In Kooperation mit dem Institut für Tanz und Bewegungskultur der Deutschen Sporthochschule Köln. Gefördert vom Ministerium für Kinder, Jugend, Familie, Gleichstellung, Flucht und Integration of the Land Nordrhein-Westfalen (MKJFGFI NRW)

Dear SISTERS! Thank you so much for coming and sharing this experience with us. We really enjoyed dancing with you and sharing the same passion. Exchanging and connecting that’s the key in this culture. With you we could create such a safe space. We are so grateful to see you all in this together, covered with so much love, power and passion.

Eugene is a Cologne-based dancer, deejay, producer and co-founder of Amikron Records. Eugene‘s decade of enthusiasm for digging and playing music shaped his selection between Afrohouse, soulful Boogie & Disco, driving Breakbeats and uplifting multi-cultural Sounds. His monthly club party is called Chicago Am Rhein at the Bumann & Sohn

Dirty Mamas Crew was founded in 2002 in the city of Stuttgart. Today the Bgirl Crew is located in 6 different cities all over Germany and Morocco. The crew counts 8 members.

Most of the members got into Hip Hop when they were kids. The culture thaught them self-responsibility, independence and to stand up for something. Especially the way to express themselves, to benefit from the joy of creating and to be part of a movement where it is all about being YOU.
