Continuation and conclusion of the visit of the Chinese delegation from Suzhou🌏

This week has marked a significant milestone in our collaborative journey with Suzhou Healthcare Vocational College, as we warmly welcomed their delegation!

Friday's visit in Cologne seamlessly transitioned into a captivating presentation by Matthias Afting at the Ludwig Fresenius Schulen, showcasing a diverse array of inspiring projects. Our day continued with an extensive tour, offering our esteemed guests an intimate look into our educational facilities and initiatives. A highlight was witnessing a physiotherapy lesson, adding a practical dimension to our exchange. The day concluded on a delightful note with a memorable lunch, fostering connections and camaraderie.

On Monday, the exploration continued at LUNEX University, in Luxembourg. The campus tour provided valuable insights into educational and research initiatives, while Ms. Wei Jiangfei shared the rich practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Lunex students. The session concluded with a comprehensive presentation on Lunex University's bachelor and master programs, sparking a fruitful discussion on potential collaborations with Suzhou Healthcare Vocational College.

We're filled with optimism about the exciting prospects ahead and eagerly look forward to future cooperation!

This week we are hosting a high-ranking delegation from Suzhou Healthcare Vocational College in Germany and Luxembourg.

During our visit to the campus of Hochschule Fresenius in Idstein, Prof. Dr. Thomas Wolf and Prof. Dr. Michael Oelgemöller presented the departments of health & social affairs as well as chemistry & biology. After a campus tour and a mutual introduction, various options of future collaboration like summer schools or train the trainer programmes were discussed.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited the PIONEER LAB of Hochschule Fresenius in Wiesbaden. Community Manager Maurice Pöhlmann welcomed the delegation and presented the services offered for young entrepreneurs in their co-working space.

This week, Matthias Afting at Vysoká Škola Ambis in Prague celebrated the 175th anniversary of in honor of Carl Remigius Fresenius, with Ludwig Fresenius, the great-great-grandson of the founder of Fresenius Education.

The event was marked by impressive speakers such as Vaclav Velcovsky, Radek Špicar, Jan Lát, Zdenek Gajdik, and Martina Postupová, who provided fascinating insights into 21st-century management.

Particularly gratifying was the awarding of the Special Prize of the Czech Management Association to Ludwig Fresenius, presented by Ivo Gajdoš.

After the conference, the groupe had the exceptional opportunity for a private tour of the Státní Opera Praha / Prague State Opera with Per Boye Hansen.

A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Markus Klimmer and Per Boye Hansen for their hospitality at the Prague State Opera. We would also like to express our gratitude to all speakers, participants, and organizers for the successful event!

This week, our colleague Timo Tekhaus visited the Hamburg India Business Day 2023, which took place as part of 2023 at the Handelskammer Hamburg.

It was an honor to witness high-profile contributions from esteemed leaders such as Dr. Melanie Leonhard, Prof. Dr. Clas Neumann, H.E. Harish Parvathaneni, Dr. Philipp Ackermann, and Deb Jani Ghosh, shedding light on the dynamic Indo-German economic relations. In the end, everyone agreed that this bilateral cooperation offers great potential for both sides.

India plays an important role for Germany's foreign trade. Both as an alternative source of supply and as an export market, but especially in research and development, India is moving into the focus of German companies, as shown by the increasing number of research and development centres for large companies.

During the panel discussions with Indian and German company representatives, the potential for bilateral cooperation was also emphasised. In many sectors both countries can offer complimentary competences and capabilities. While we could benefit from Indian technology and expertise in the supply chain for e-mobility, electronics, or renewable energies, Germany can contribute to the development of Indian cities with health care and waste management technologies, to name just a few areas of potential collaboration.

Also, for us as an education provider, India offers manifold opportunities. India is the largest democracy in the world with a young demographic and a fast growing middle class. Many young Indians are looking for quality education in India and abroad. We are looking forward to contributing to this huge task and to strengthening our educational footprint in this interesting and fast-growing market. 🤝🌏

One highlight of the trip was a fascinating visit to "Amiasteel Group" S.R.L. – a steel construction factory, where the female owner Ina Chiriac - one of our participants - offered a close look into the manufacturing process. It was a good experience that provided valuable insights into the industry.

But that's not all! We couldn't miss the opportunity to explore Moldova's rich cultural heritage. We ended our journey with a visit to Mileștii Mici - the longest wine cellar in the world. It was a truly majestic finale, where we savored the finest local wines and celebrated the successful completion of our programme.
