Established in June 2003, IBSA enables students to study in two institutions in two different countries, receiving master's degrees from each of these institutions. Started by schools involved in the Bologna Declaration, the alliance now includes a broader range of partners: Hochschule Bremen in Germany, Universitat de Valencia in Spain, the Russian Presidential Academy, Institute of Business Studies in Russia, and the University of North Carolina Wilmington in the United States.

Having my first semester in Paris gave me a broad and well-rounded academic foundation, while my exchange semester in Valencia was a real turning point. The quality of the courses, the engaging teaching approach, and the close connection between the program and industry made the learning experience particularly valuable. Beyond the academic experience, the program also offered numerous opportunities to learn from guest speakers and connect with professionals, giving me a strong foundation to begin my career. We look forward to this moment every year: graduation. The hard work is done, the exams are over, and the theses are finished. Students, faculty, and staff look back on over a year of productive work and celebrate.
This year IBSA student Saskia Marouteix stood on the podium and accepted her diploma together with fellow students.

🌍✨ The annual IBSA Conference once again brought together all partner universities of the IBSA Double Degree Master’s Program for two inspiring days of collaboration, innovation, and connection.
This year, we had the pleasure of meeting at the Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València, where faculty and staff worked on further enhancing the curriculum and strengthening the international student experience.
We are especially excited to welcome a new partner to the IBSA network: the Universidade do Porto! 🎉 Starting in Fall 2027, IBSA students will have the opportunity to spend a semester at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto, expanding the program’s global opportunities even further.
Another highlight was the presentation of the Ana Aroca IBSA Thesis Award. Congratulations to John Lie Avang Andrés on this remarkable achievement! 👏 We also extend our sincere appreciation to all nominees whose outstanding research reflects the diversity, quality, and impact of the IBSA community.
For more than 20 years, the IBSA program has been shaped by the dedication, expertise, and enthusiasm of its faculty, staff, alumni, and students. This conference was yet another reminder that the true strength of IBSA lies in its people and the vibrant international community they continue to build together. 🌎💙
