Winter School 2022 Postponed

It is with deep regret that we need to postpone the Winter School planned for March 2022 till a later date, due to the decision by the National Piping Centre to suspend all International Schools until the situation surrounding the pandemic is clearer.

To try and keep some form of continuity going forward, I had a discussion with Mark Wilson and taking into account feedback received from previous students, we are looking at a possible 4-day school (Thursday – Sunday) around the end of May – beginning of June 2022. As soon as I have checked availability with Youth Hostels, I will let you know.

For now, please stay safe and healthy and have a nice Christmas period.

Winterschule 2022 verschoben

Mit großem Bedauern müssen wir die für März 2022 geplante Winterschule auf einen späteren Zeitpunkt verschieben, da das National Piping Centre beschlossen hat, alle internationalen Schulen auszusetzen, bis die Situation im Zusammenhang mit der Pandemie klarer ist.

Um zu versuchen, eine gewisse Kontinuität zu wahren, habe ich mit Mark Wilson gesprochen, und unter Berücksichtigung der Rückmeldungen früherer Schüler prüfen wir eine mögliche 4-tägige Schule (Donnerstag bis Sonntag) Ende Mai - Anfang Juni 2022. Sobald ich die Verfügbarkeit bei den Jugendherbergen geprüft habe, werde ich euch Bescheid geben.

Bis dahin wünsche ich euch eine sichere und gesunde Reise und eine schöne Weihnachtszeit.

Dear Winter School participants,

I hope you are all well and staying safe during this difficult period.
It is that time of the year again and we are now starting to look at next year’s Winter School. The dates will be the 14th to the 19th of March 2022. The usual professional instructors from the National Piping Centre in Scotland which will include Finlay MacDonald, Willie McCallum, Tyler Fry and Mark Wilson have all agreed to participate as our main core of instructors.
Before proceeding with all the administration and signing of contracts and due to some uncertainties with the current pandemic, we would like to ask for your feedback on whether you would be interested in participating in a physical Winter School in Brüggen next year. If the response is strong enough, we will proceed with starting the registration process beginning of December 2021.
Therefore, could I kindly ask you to reply to this email with one of the following responses:

• may be interested
• not interested
Please send your reply by the end of November 2021.
We are hoping to get back to the music and look forward to seeing everyone once again in Brüggen.

Es ist wieder einmal so weit und wir beginnen mit der Planung der Winterschule im nächsten Jahr. Der Termin wird der 14. bis 19. März 2022 sein.
