BIMUN/SINUB Lecture Series

Dear all,

Today's lecture is entitled "Enemy, Stranger, Neighbor, Friend: Youth, Peace, Religion and the Semantics of Otherness" and will feature Dr. Matthew Robinson who is a Research Associate of Intercultural Theology at University of Bonn.

Dr. Robinson is a Chicago native, and he has traveled broadly and also lived in Israel and now Germany. These intercultural experiences have instilled in him a deep appreciation for the richness and complexity of human diversity as well as of the importance of friendship and community. He is currently working on several projects looking at the significance of religious communication in digital space for social resilience.

we are back for the Summer Semester 2022 with our Lecture Series, this time with the theme "Engaging in Place: Bridging Global Issues to Local Action".

Yesterday we had a great introduction session to our semester theme, an introduction to the Certificate of Intercultural Competence of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, and an introduction to what we do at BIMUN/SINUB e.V. courtesy of our new President Maria Müller and Vice-President Maya Zaki!

Starting next week on April 27th we will begin with our first lecture with Dr. Matthew Robertson on "Enemy, Stranger, Neighbor, Friend: Youth, Peace, Religion and the Semantics of Otherness".

CONFERENCE 2021 | BIMUN/SINUB e.V. A warm welcome to this year’s BIMUN/SINUB Model United Nations Conference! As Mayor of Bonn, Germany’s United Nations City of 25 years, I am very happy to see you join in our anniversary program!

We have another very special announcement to make! We are partnering with the UNCCD (United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification) office in Bonn. Something you might not know: we have been partnering with the UNCCD in the past and we are grateful that this cooperation has been renewed! The first half of the lecture series will be organized by us. The second half (from the 8th of December) will be dedicated to the UNCCD's fields of work and themes.
