Internationaler Club Uni Bonn

Hey guys 😎

This week starts with a lot of events today in the international club! 🤩😍

From 3pm to 5pm there is a *workshop on women’s health.* it‘s limited in participants but there are some last places left, so if you want to join please message us, first come first serve.

At *6pm* there will be a *speed friending*, where you will have the chance to get to know other international students and our offers from the International Office 🙂

Afterwards *Sprachcafé* will start at *7pm*, one hour later than usual.

The events all take place in the International Club, Poppelsdorfer Allée 53 (the entrance is on Argelanderstraße).
Except for the Workshop you can just come along without registration☺️

Sommerschule – Valuing Plurality, Decolonising Socio-Ecological Futures
16. – 22. Juli 2023
Aktuell fordern zahlreiche Krisen und sozio-ökologische Problemlagen die Weltgemeinschaft heraus.
Welche Antworten kann es auf die Frage geben, wie eine Zukunft in einer globalisierten und eng miteinander verbundenen Welt aussehen könnte?
Zu der einwöchigen Sommerschule sind 24 Masterstudierende und Promovierende der Universität Bonn und der University of Ghana eingeladen, mit führenden Wissenschaftler*innen über ihre Fragen und Ideen zu diskutieren.
In Workshops, Vorträgen und Debatten stehen dabei der Umgang mit ethischer Pluralität und die Frage, wie eine Entkolonialisierung der Zukunftsgestaltung gelingen kann, im Fokus.

Summer School - Valuing Plurality, Decolonising Socio-Ecological Futures
July 16 – 22, 2023
Numerous crises and socio-ecological emergencies are currently challenging the global community.
What answers can there be to the question of what a future in a globalised and interconnected world might look like?
For the one-week summer school, 24 postgraduate students from the University of Bonn and the University of Ghana are invited to discuss their questions and ideas with leading researchers in their fields.
In workshops, lectures and eye-level debates, the focus will be on how to deal with ethical plurality and how to address the decolonising of future-making.

Event program:
✔️ try home-made cookies, cakes, and some other traditional pastries, decorated with Ukrainian symbols;
✔️ check out the Ukrainian-themed products (T-shirts, water bottles, shopping bags, postcards, and stickers);
✔️ quiz on interesting facts of Ukrainian history, culture, and the war reality;
✔️ concert with live Ukrainian music.

❣️ All collected donations will be transferred to orphanages with disabled children in the Kharkiv region to buy energy generators.

❣️ From 14th May till 31st July 2022 we already gathered 5395€, which were successfully transferred for humanitarian help for Ukrainian citizens.

გამარჯობა! Lust auf einen Abend Kultur❓ Der Georgienabend des International Office am 28. Oktober bietet die Chance, das Land von allen Seiten kennenzulernen. Durch Tänze, Essen, Literatur und Musik wird durch die kulturelle Landschaft Georgiens geführt, wobei georgische Künstler*innen und Gäste die Hauptrollen spielen. Das Programm richtet sich an alle Studis der Universität Bonn, also kommt gerne um 18:00 Uhr vorbei und lernt das Land mit allen Sinnen kennen❗

Traditional dancers, food, literature and music will guide you through the cultural landscape of Georgia, with Georgian artists and guests playing the main roles. The program is open to all students of the University of Bonn, so come by at 6pm and get to know the country with all your senses❗

Hi everyone!
We are (left to right) Bianca, Pilar, Elisa, Yanwei and Malak. We are all part of the International Club Team.
- What do we do? We plan events like Game Nights, Cooking Nights, Movie Nights, Karaoke, Hikes and so much more, so international and German students alike can get to know each other!
