€411 million for 73 new Horizon Europe Research Infrastructure projects!

The European Union is investing €411 million in 73 new Horizon Europe projects to strengthen research infrastructures and support world-class research and innovation across Europe.

The projects cover areas including health, climate resilience, agriculture, transport and manufacturing, while also contributing to major initiatives such as Mission Cancer and Destination Earth.

Importantly, the funding is not only about infrastructure. It also supports the people behind research infrastructures through training, mobility and new career opportunities.

📢Job Alert: PhD Position at Uniklinikum Erlangen / FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg on immune reset through CAR T in chronic inflammatory diseases

As a PhD student, you will investigate how human immune-cell networks shape tissue inflammation, regeneration, and response to cellular therapies. The project will focus primarily on the human immune system and combine patient-derived material with experimental models to address mechanistic questions in cellular immunology. This is one of 15 fully-funded PhD positions in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network “A Sociology of Post-Imperial Islamic Legal Cultures: Insights from Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia” (MINARET-DN), an EU-funded consortium made up of 11 leading universities and research centres across Europe.

As a partner institution, Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient (Geisteswissenschaftliche Zentren Berlin e.V.) is now advertising the position of a research fellow (m/f/div), to start on 1 September 2027. A 36-month full-time EU MSCA employment contract will be offered. Remuneration is paid in accordance with MSCA regulations.

The research fellow is expected to complete a doctoral dissertation in Modern History, Social and Cultural Anthropology, or Central Asian Studies. To this end, they will enrol as a PhD candidate at a Berlin university. A 36-month full-time EU MSCA employment contract will be offered. Remuneration is paid in accordance with MSCA regulations. Additional funds for research and conference travel, visa fees (if required), and publications are available. The position is based in Berlin, yet there will be regular travel as part of the doctoral network.
