Connected to our Anglistik Reading Challenge (see our previous post), each semester we will give the spotlight to one of the reads from the list that will be named "Book of the Semester"🙌 You can then look forward to an event hosted by the Fachschaft in which the BotS will be highlighted further!

The Fachschaft is happy to announce our ANGLISTIK READING CHALLENGE!🥳📚

We want to encourage all of you to broaden your reading horizons, connect with others through these books, and challenge yourselves. We are very grateful to all the lecturers for sharing their top reads! 😊

We have 61 reads in the challenge, from across many genres and different authors, carefully chosen by the lecturers of the Anglistik department. You can of course read them in whichever order you like BUT we have included a few sub-challenes for you to complete (with rewards).

For an easy overview, look at our challenge on "Storygraph" (link in bio). Always have a look at the University and city libraries, or second hand (online) bookshops first, as you will find a lot of the books there 📚

We have also chosen a book of the semester: "Klara and the Sun" (2021) by Kazuo Ishiguro.
To celebrate and discuss this book, we're hosting a lecturer's café with Dr. Peter Schildhauer on June 25th from 4-6pm (outside if the weather permits). Look forward to the invitation in your mailbox!
