Wie geht ein Ministerium mit seiner Vergangenheit um?
Ein spannendes Forschungsprojekt des BMWK hat die Geschichte seiner Ressortforschungseinrichtungen während der NS-Zeit und der Nachkriegsjahre aufgearbeitet. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, wie eng Wissenschaft, Politik und gesellschaftliche Verantwortung miteinander verknüpft sind und warum historische Aufarbeitung auch heute unverzichtbar bleibt.
Erste Ergebnisse Ergebnisse wurden am 5. März 2025 im BMWK in Berlin vorgestellt. Den Auftakt der Reihe macht der Band „Imperiale Geognostik und Wissenschaftskolonialismus“ von Sören Flachowsky, seit Kurzem im Open Access auf unserer Webseite verfügbar.

AI decisions shape our lives – but can we actually understand them?
Contextualizing Explanations: Proceedings of the Third TRR 318 Conference, edited by Philipp Cimiano, Benjamin Paassen and Anna-Lisa Vollmer, is now available as open access via bielefelduniversitypress.de/
We recently interviewed the editors of the volume to discuss their publication and the ideas behind it. Cimiano, Paassen and Vollmer reflect on the importance of Explainable AI (XAI), the current state of research in the field, and the future directions and challenges that lie ahead for XAI.
