RoboCup Team Tobi - Bielefeld University

The Team of Bielefeld invites you to their Homecoming event on the 21.09. at 13:30 in the CITEC Foyer.

At our Homecoming event we will give insights to this year's competition, present our experiences in Montreal, and showcase our robot Pepper with our finals performance.

It is done! Team ToBi takes first place in SSPL@home!

In "Cocktailparty" the robot has to play a waiter and find persons who would like to order a drink. Team ToBi took an order but did not have enough time to find more people.

Stage 1 completed with a great "General Purpose Service Robot" for Team ToBi.

Team ToBi followed someone outside the arena in the "Help me Carry" task and then managed to find back inside.

During "Speech and Person Recognition" ToBi has to detect people standing in the crowd and then answer questions about the people it saw and about the arena.
Team ToBi was able to answer most of the questions.

Team ToBi had a strong first day of competitions and we have our eyes set on qualifying for the 2nd stage tomorrow. Some impressions of the tests will follow.

TeamToBi took first official steps inside the arena, passed the robot inspection and qualified for the tasks ahead. Meanwhile exchanging research with other robocup teams during poster session.

First steps in the arena are for exploring the new environment. Mounted laser helps with accurate mapping but during the tests tobi will have to rely on its own senses.

Pepper received and head mounted. Team ToBi is good to go.
