Every creation begins where opposites meet.
Fayyum has always been that threshold - where desert meets water, dryness meets fertility, silence meets life, and chaos gives way to order.

In Ancient Egyptian cosmology, creation emerged from the meeting of opposites. From Nun; the primordial waters, life emerged, and Ma’at; harmony, balance, and order, came into being.

Fayyum feels like a living reflection of this ancient wisdom: an oasis rising from the desert, where water transformed sand into fertile land.
It is more than a place.
It is a living blueprint of creation, abundance, and transformation.

And perhaps this is also a reflection of creation within us.
Light and shadow.
Strength and softness.
Stillness and movement.

Transformation doesn’t happen when we reject one side. It happens when our opposites meet, communicate, and work together.
That is the real alchemy.
Just as the waters of Fayyum brought life to the desert, when our inner opposites come together, something new can be created within us.
Where opposites meet, transformation begins.

Lion’s Gate

In the ancient Egyptian cosmology, the number 8 represents the Khemenywu (the Ogdoad) - four sacred pairs balancing heaven and earth, above and below.
This energy isn’t just about passive manifestation. It’s about balance in action.

To align with this energy you need to focus on:
- Face what you’ve been avoiding
- Take one courageous step forward
- Hunt for real opportunities
- Protect what truly matters
- Balance raw strength with compassion

And it is time to let go of Anger, unnecessary conflict, and forcing what isn’t aligned.

Like the lioness: Observe. Plan. Act.
Be strong without aggression.
Be courageous without recklessness.

True power always comes from balance.

Standing before [Ra-Henet] El-Lahun & [Hut-Weret] Hawara Pyramids, you can feel it - a thick, silent pulse of ancient mystery waiting beneath [Dšrt] the desert sand.

While El-Lahun transmits the energies of hidden order, discipline and purpose, Hawara speaks of the journey through the inner labyrinth, the integration of the soul before rebirth, the transformation.

Beneath this quiet desert landscape at the edge of the Fayyum Oasis lies the legendary lost Labyrinth. When Herodotus visited centuries ago, he was so awestruck by its endless maze of underground chambers that he claimed it eclipsed even the Great Pyramids of Giza. But you don't need a historian to tell you that, you can feel it when you are in it's presence!

Walking this ground taps into something deeply spiritual. Ruins and statues dedicated to [Hut-Hr], the Netra of joy, cosmic love, and motherhood, and to [Sbk] Sebek/Subak, the powerful crocodile deity who ruled the Nile’s sacred waters, sit in the Egyptian Museum and reflect an ancient worldview where the physical and divine were seamlessly intertwined.

To stand here is to realize that history isn't just something in a textbook, it's quietly breathing right beneath your feet. And most of it hasn’t been excavated yet?

Only 1 hour and 30 mins from Cairo.

A reminder, if you travel to Egypt, search beyond Cairo, you’ll discover lost worlds almost untouched by the millions of tourists that visit Giza every year.

When we move through life constantly seeking answers, we only strengthen the feeling that something is missing.
The Ancient Egyptians understood that true wisdom cannot be forced. It is received.

The teacher may appear as a person, a temple, nature, a sacred text, or a single moment of profound stillness. But it only reveals itself when the heart becomes quiet enough to perceive it.
In Ancient Egypt, the ib (heart) was the true organ of intelligence, not the mind. It was through the open, aligned heart that divine wisdom could be known.
True transmission happens in the space of non-expectation.
Not through debate. Not through collecting more information. But through direct experience.

To receive, your hands must be free.
An open heart. Empty hands.
Only then can wisdom find you.

The Ancient Egyptians understood something modern science is only beginning to appreciate: breathing changes consciousness. But for them, breath was more than a physiological function, it was the way we received Sekhem; the divine vital force that animates life.
Every inhale became a sacred act of receiving.
Every exhale became an act of integration and balance.

In the Ancient Egyptian Spiritual system, every movement is synchronized with the breath to consciously guide this life force throughout the body, awakening vitality, clarity, and inner harmony.

What if reality isn’t divided into good and evil?

Ancient Egyptian philosophy presents a different perspective than what we are used to. Rather than seeing creation as a battle between opposing absolutes, it understood existence as expressions of a single divine source, each with higher and lower manifestations.
Every force had higher and lower expressions (vibrations);
- Love could become attachment.
- Power could become domination.
- Order could become rigidity.
- Chaos could become transformation.

Harmony wasn’t achieved by destroying darkness, but by bringing every force into balance and alignment with Ma’at.
The principle of correspondence taught that the individual and the cosmos mirror one another. Your inner world is not isolated from the universe, it actively participates in it.

Spiritual transformation then is more than personal growth, it is our cosmic responsibility. It is a way of restoring harmony within the greater whole.

I used to think that whatever was meant for me would come and find me, but that has completely changed since I started digging deep into my ancient Egyptian roots. I learned that I always have to make the first move, the first step, and initiate the process from my wanting, then it will flow towards me and follow my path.

That's exactly what I did at the beginning of my love for the Ancient Egyptian knowledge and wisdom; I wanted to learn and be guided by the Ntru themselves, the divine natures that are untouched and unbiased by anything. So I went to ask for that guidance, not knowing what I would find and in what form.

And there it began, from one of the nights that I spent in Dšrt (the desert) under Nut (the sky) in Waset (Thebes/Luxor).

Follow your heart, listen to the signs, always start by taking the first step in whichever form, and have faith that it is all working out for you in the best possible way.

Before the pyramids. Before recorded history.

The Ancient Egyptians believed the most significant period in existence was Zep Tepi—The First Time.
Not simply a creation myth, but a sacred state when order emerged from chaos, humanity lived in harmony with nature and the divine, and the principles of Ma’at were first established.
For them, Zep Tepi wasn’t only about the distant past. It was a timeless reality that could be remembered and approached through spiritual transformation and conscious living.
Perhaps its greatest lesson is that beneath all our differences, we share the same origin and the same potential to restore harmony within ourselves and the world around us.

What does Zep Tepi really represents, a historical memory or a spiritual state, or both?

I’ve written a full article exploring the meaning, symbolism, and significance of Zep Tepi.
