ve the well-known EYP-format, especially the intercultural aspect, onto a whole new level. Overall more than 100 young people, from more than 50 countries, will gather in the capital of Germany to discuss political topics of global relevance as well as the future of Euro-African relations. After an extensive training, the session will gather roughly 60 delegates for more than a week in Germany for an academically challenging and interculturally valuable event. The topics and the concrete theme of the event will be developed by the board of the Session, supported by both the International Office of the EYP, the YBF and the president of the session. The Berlin-based Schwarzkopf Foundation as the international umbrella organisation of the EYP, will be the host of this event. Since the European Youth Parliament has developed a very reliable and successful format over the past 26 years, which serves for 200 sessions across Europe every year, this format will also be employed at the first EAYP. The procedure of the event will, however, be further developed by an advanced committee work method. All inherent elements of the session ought to be rounded by advancement and adjustment of the established practices. Nonetheless, the session will consist of the three common elements: Teambuilding, Committee Work and the General Assembly. The partnership of YBF and the EYP is made possible by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Germany in the programme “Commitment for Africa.” In this framework the EYP and the YBF will put into action the Euro African Youth Parliament as the first event entirely organised together. The well-established cooperation between these two vital actors of civic society and education in Ghana and Germany provides a profound basis to ensure the organisational as well as academic and organisational brilliance of the event.
