As a teacher it's of utmost important to stay a student and I'm incredibly lucky to have found my teacher Vinay Kumar almost 10 years ago. In his presence I become aware of the long road that's still ahead on my Yoga path, even after 20 years of practice.
Vinay ji started Yoga at the age of 7, teaching from the age of 13. His life is fully dedicated to that. What I learn from him can't compare to any of those xHr teacher trainings out there.
He shows us how to progress in the eight limbs of Yoga, not just the Asana practice. He shows us how to become more humble, more aware of ourselves and better human beings.
I stopped going to random classes years ago and instead make my yearly pilgrimage to Mysore, India to practice and study intensively for one month under his guidance.
It's been 5 years of organising the Prana Vashya Europe Program where I bring him to Europe and I have another month of 5 hours of practice per day.
It's a privilege to dedicate so much time to the path of Yoga, and it's also a choice. I have to make compromises in life to make this possible.
And as I explained in my post earlier this week, it's not a fun Yoga holiday, it's a journey that can be properly challenging😮💨
Vinay ji sees me on good and bad days. There's no hiding, but there's a teacher who sees your potential beyond your own limiting beliefs.

BIG NEWS🤸♀️After a fully booked out edition last year, the 6 day Yoga Intensive .valley returns in 2026!
This retreat will have a program like I’ve never offered before: this year I will combine the best practices of Yoga, Primal Moves and Breathwork. A complete morning Sadhana with Meditation, Pranayama, Asana or Primal Moves & Breathwork. Deep dive workshops in the late afternoon focussing on Backbending, Handstands & flexibility.
You choose the intensity of the retreat! All parts of the program are optional: if some days you prefer to sleep a bit longer you can join just for the Asana practice or if in the afternoon your body tells you to rest or enjoy a massage then you can do that instead of another 2 hours of practice.
All levels of practice are welcome. I teach multi-level: beginners will get a proper foundation for their practice, experienced students will be challenged with different variations.

While sharing my life between different 'homes' in the world has intensified over the last few years, it's always special to touch base in Berlin💛 To be teaching at my studios, my 'babies' that I'm creating and managing from wherever I am (and people who know me know I literally work from anywhere, whether I'm on the road, on the beach or in a random cafe😂), fills my heart.
This week you'll find me daily at Dharma Studios Kreuzberg & Neukölln until Thursday. From Friday I'll be hosting my Indian teacher Vinay Kumar at our studio for a completely sold out 4-day intensive🙌🙏

I’m excited to be offering several Primal Moves sessions next week while I’m in Berlin! Next to Yoga this has become my main way of moving/training as it drastically improved imbalances and injuries I had in my body. It’s fun, it’s strong and I LOVE sharing this practice 🤸🦍

Primal Moves is a bodyweight movement method designed to cultivate body awareness, strength & mobility. This is an excellent addition to ‘regular’ Yoga asana practice or workouts at the gym. We use biped & quadruped movements using the whole space and conditioning exercises on a yoga mat.
This method has been developed with a focus on physical longevity:
✺ building a strong foundation by restoring posture
✺ conditioning the body
✺ stabilizing joints
✺ improving motor coordination
✺ improving conscious movement perception
✺ preparing the hands, wrists and shoulders to progress in handstands
All levels are welcome, it will be strong & fun for everyone and you’ll leave feeling great!

One month of intensive practice in India with my dear teacher Vinay Kumar has flown by. Practicing for 5 hours every day (Asana & Pranayama) is a journey😮💨 and even though this has been my winter pilgrimage for many many years, it's never easy and it's never the same, but the results are remarkable.
As I mentioned at the beginning of the month, coming to Mysore, living in Gokulam, is coming home for me. Life is sweet, so many familiar faces, Yoga friends from around the world, amazing Indian food, fresh coconuts, chai, great weather and riding my motorcycle💛
