Music by Heart is a Berlin based project running free music workshops for children who are currently displaced from their homes. We hope that the workshops can bring a smile to the faces of these wonderful children, raise their confidence, encourage social interaction, introduce new skills and create happy memories

Next Thursday the Music By Heart students will be singing and dancing for a special concert in Berlin!
The students will sing 'I See You' in 13 different languages and perform a hip hop dance to the song 'Das ist Berlin.'
So excited!!

This is the exact expression that was on the faces of 3 of our little students yesterday ✨ They had just arrived in Germany a few days ago and have been running around in their own little world, not understanding a single word anyone says to them. So I went and sat down with them, pulled out my Merlin Guitar and sang to them in their language, Arabic.
I sang 'Hello! I see you there! I love you! What's your name?' This was the EXACT expression they all made at the exact same time ❤️❤️❤️

We translated the Natalie and the Romance song 'I see you' into 9 different languages so that each child could sing in their own language and learn a little piece of their friends language

✨ Happy International Women's Day! ✨ yesterday we ran a great workshop where our students had the chance to listen to the music of 15 amazing female musicians and learn a bit about each of them! Of course we finished the workshop with some colouring in so that everyone had something special to take home 🎨

At Music by Heart we are working on creating new verses in Natalie's song 'Aapka Naam Kya Hai (आपका नाम क्या है)' with many new languages! So far we have English, Hindi, Arabic, Kurmunji, German, French, Spanish and Dari. We are currently working on adding Farsi and Turkish!

Our friends at Pass the Crayon are looking for artists to volunteer once or regularly in their amazing workshops in Berlin! ✨

We are looking for artists to propose and perform workshops for asylum seeker, refugee and underprivileged children in Berlin!
The goal of our artistic workshops is to address issues of inclusion and inequality by broadening the artistic interests of kids and youth. Each artist who volunteers at Pass the Crayon can share their skills with kids who are eager to use their imagination and maybe even find their true passion in life!
As an artist, you can participate just once or more regularly if you have the time.
By donating your time, you will be part of something magic 🌀🔆

Yesterday 2 new verses were added to 'Aapka Naam Kya Hai' - one in Arabic and one in the Kurdish dialect Kurmanji! This was an exciting moment for our workshop participants ☺️✨
