🎒 Schultüte – A Sweet German Tradition for the First Day of School 🇩🇪
In Germany, the first day of school comes with a gift almost as big as the child! 😍
The Schultüte is a giant, beautifully decorated cone filled with sweets 🍬, small toys 🧸, and school supplies ✏️📚. German first-graders have been receiving Schultüten for more than 200 years.
Parents usually prepare and fill the Schultüte secretly the night before. The next morning, children proudly carry their huge Schultüte through the school gates — creating that classic first-day-of-school photo: a tiny child with an enormous cone! 📸❤️
The tradition began in Saxony and Thuringia in the early 1800s. Children were told that a Schultüte tree grew at the schoolhouse, and when the Schultüten were ripe, it was time to start school. 🌳🎁

ජර්මනියේ දරුවෙකුගේ පාසලේ පළමු දිනය කියන්නේ ඉතාමත් විශේෂ දවසක්. ඒ දවසේ දරුවාට ඔහුගේ හෝ ඇයගේ ශරීරයටත් වඩා විශාල තෑග්ගක් ලැබෙනවා! 😍
ඒ තමයි Schultüte 🎉 — රසකැවිලි 🍬, කුඩා සෙල්ලම් බඩු 🧸 සහ පාසල් උපකරණ ✏️📚 වලින් පිරවූ විශාල, ලස්සනට සැරසූ cone එකක්වැනි තෑගි පැකේජයක්.
මෙම සම්ප්‍රදාය ජර්මනියේ වසර 200කට වැඩි කාලයක් තිස්සේ පවතිනවා. සාමාන්‍යයෙන් දෙමාපියන් දරුවාට නොපෙනෙන ලෙස පෙර දින රාත්‍රියේ Schultüte එක සූදානම් කරනවා. ඊළඟ උදෑසන දරුවා එය ආඩම්බරයෙන් රැගෙන පාසලට යනවා. 📸❤️
මෙම සම්ප්‍රදාය 1800 දශකයේ මුල් භාගයේ Saxony සහ Thuringia ප්‍රදේශවලින් ආරම්භ වූ බව සැලකෙනවා.
එදා දරුවන්ට කියා තිබුණේ පාසල් ගොඩනැගිල්ලේ Schultüte ගසක් ඇති බවත්, එහි Schultüte නම් “පලතුරු” ඉදුණු විට පාසල ආරම්භ කරන කාලය පැමිණෙන බවත්ය. 🌳🎁
