Ideas for India: Creation of 'Country-specific Circuits in India' to attract more tourists, taking into account preferences, language & travel habits of tourists from different countries.

🌟'SGGS Institute of Engineering & Technology. Nanded' - A visit to the best Engineering institute in the region.

Germany is a heaven for Engineering with exceptional strengths in Mechanical engineering whereas India is an IT/software power. These strengths need to be combined.

Trying to improve collaboration between German & Indian Engineering Institutes:

IDEAS & INITIATIVES FOR ENGINEERING & SKILL INSTITUTES: Could this be done?

👉 1. IIT to ITI network : Creating an online Engineering & Skill Network in the State/Region.
Connecting the best IIT of the region online to other Engineering colleges in the region & local Skill institutes like the ITIs. This is to ensure seamless transfer of information and latest trends & reduce the regional and institutional imbalance.

👉 2. Connecting our "National/State Engineering & Skill Network" to International Institutions :
It is difficult to convince Top German Institutes to connect to individual Indian Institutes because even if our institutes are best regionally, they lack in global ranking. So we propose creation of a consortium of all the regional Engineering & Skill Institutes -
A State-wide Engineering & Skill Network. This would consist of institutes right from IITs to local Engineering, Polytechnic & Skill colleges. Achievements of the entire Network to be shown as a whole. This makes connecting with the statewide Engineering network more attractive for the International institutes. This also ensures international collaboration is not limited to a few top institutes. Thus ensuring seamless transfer of information on trends, opportunities & requirements.

👉 3. Adopting an ITI - Can regional Engineering institutes & regional Industry adopt one ITI in the region and support the skill development programmes of the Government? This would help in streamlining the skill curriculum based on industry needs. Industry could help in infrastructure development in the ITIs and in supporting the students through their CSR.

CONCEPT: City Art Wall / City Art Memorial + Art Cafe

*Such walls already exist in some cities, but we need a Dedicated wall in each City at dedicated locations under this Concept - The main aim is not just to have an Art wall but to STIMULATE LOCAL ECONOMY, local tourism, local business with the help of such an Art Area in each city.
The investment required is minimum.

It might support the following groups:
1. Local Painters - Art schools, art enthusiasts
2. Local Musicians - Live performances by guitarists etc near the Wall
3. Local Food - Incentives to sell local homemade food, local chaat
4. Handicraft- dedicated area near the wall to sell or promote local handicraft

Consider the following points:

1.Additional tourist attraction - meeting point for locals and tourists

2.Supporting Local Economy - Local handicraft markets, local musicians and local food stalls can be promoted near the Wall.

3.Promoting revisits by changing Art themes, conducting competitions and local participation eg.voting for best art, create your own art, sell your art

4.Monthly Themes -The paintings could be changed every month based on different themes eg. Festivals, Current Issues

5.Revenue generation - Sponsored area with Local ads / Entry fees (debatable) / voluntary contributions for favourite art piece/ Marginal maintenance Tax from local businesses/ Sponsorship from Paint or Colour manufacturers /Demos and Sale of art pieces/ an area for Art Classes along the wall to support Art teachers

6. Incentives - Monthly Prizes based on Popular Choice/ Intra and InterCity Competitions - "Best Art Wall in the State or in the Country"

7.Dedicated Sections on the Wall - A section dedicated to local Schools and Colleges to promote their talent and to inculcate a feeling of ownership/ a section for 'Make your own Art for children and novices'/ Hall of Fame Section / Sponsored sections for Ads (to generate revenue) / National & International Art section where artists from outside can showcase their art

8. Live Art Section - live painting, pottery, clay art, handicraft/ Live music - local singers, guitarists, violin and tabla players/

9.Art Cafe - Place to have Local delicacies/ Meet local artists/ Dedicated area to 'Sell your HomeMade Food'

10.Maintenance - Art Volunteers from Art schools, CCTVs and security, Ground Rules for maintaining cleanliness, decency and keeping the Art Area apolitical/ Promotion through local newspapers and Magazines - a dedicated section on Local Art


**The First Picture is of the beautiful Sabarmati River front in Ahmedabad - existing walls can be used beautifully. Similarly, existing walls in other cities can be used. In any case, it doesn't take much to Build a Wall, does it??!
