Kitchn Session

11pm. Thursday again. It seems we’re the only ones enjoying the nice summer breeze on that bench tonight. Holding a glass of fresh Rosé in our hands, it still isn’t enough to cool us down. We had to take refuge in this tiled paradise we call Kitchn. We forgot that the friction between our vinyl records and the needle would agitate the H2O molecules in the air like in a microwave. No wonder the atmosphere was boiling. After the first perfect transition, we knew it was on for a good stew. The rest followed. We ended up in packed sweaty Tanzbar.

It all started in the late evening of a casual Thursday night of March. We looked at the clock: Kitchn Session time, time to make dat Kitchn boil. Tomatoes and aubergines were grillin' in the pan, with garlic, onions and Italian olive oil. We put the first record, our mixer crashed. Second record, our needle jumped. Third record, though very highly unusual in Kitchn Sessions, a rather imprecise transition. That first endeavour was burnt from the start: we had to start it all over again.
And against all odds, dat groovy Kitchn Session n°1 (A Unique Grillin' Vinyl Only Set) was born. We ended up at a Saturday afternoon Open Air party.
