Mission statement:
The Open Campus programs offers students the opportunity to select courses from a wide range of academic areas designed to support degree progress in their individual academic major while also allowing them to choose from a variety of interesting and challenging elective courses. Through an innovative block system and modular courses, students mold their own study abroad program while expanding their knowledge in a number of academic streams. Classwork is supplemented by a robust emphasis on community integration and opportunities for practical directed research or field-based experiences.

Visits to Concentration Camps are never easy, but we're immensly proud of our students who engage with this difficult part of German history. Ravensbrück in particular deals with the awful reality of life for women in such environments, and is an important topic to engage with.

And of course, emotionally challenging visits deserve some TLC afterwards!

The now abandoned sanitarium is an amazing excursion for those willing to make the train ride. It's well worth it to learn about the social history behind Germany's industrial revolution.
