The latest version of the manual on the funding instruments of the new EU funding phase 2021-2027 can now be downloaded free of charge at: http://eu-learning.net/handbook/ .
A consortium of 8 European education providers under the leadership of the European Fundraising Academy EUFRAK Berlin has developed this handbook within an EU-funded project.
The most important EU funding instruments are clearly presented in three chapters. An introductory general chapter on European funding and a concluding chapter on project development flank the list of over 50 funding instruments presented.
This almost 200-page handbook is an absolute must for every project developer and promoter, as it is the most comprehensive compilation of its kind in Europe and is expected to become a European standard work in the coming years.

ISP Dalarna has its focus on the potentials of the destination development of Falun, residential town in the province of Dalarna, Sweden. This destination has being chosen as a subject for detailed investigation by the Master students in tourism studies connected to Ecultours due to its rich industrial heritage confined within the World Heritage site of Great Copper Mountain. The World Heritage nomination of Falun copper mine in 2001 has changed the preconditions for the tourism development of the city of Falun and the province of Dalarna. The overarching idea of the student work for the ISP Dalarna was to analyse different aspects of the internationalization process of tourism development – marketing, walking tours (connecting city and the mining site) and alternative guided tours and the mine. The student group was divided into three groups (see the details of the tasks below). The ISP Dalarna was conducted on a base of the close collaboration with several stakeholders – Foundation Stora Copparberg, Falun Municipality, Destination Management Organisation Visit Dalarna AB, Dalarnas Museum and Dalarna University. Student group was invited to participate in the guided tour to the underground part of the Falun Mine, mining museum, walking tour around historical part of Falun.
Group work assignments:
Group 1: Analysis of marketing material and visitor profiling (Comparing before and after experiences, how accessible is the area to the international tourists? Lessons for the Municipality, DMO – Visit Dalarna, Foundation Great Copper Mountain)
Group 2: Walking tours – creating a prototype of an alternative walking tour (Strengthening the connection between the World Heritage at Falun Mine and the City of Falun)
Group 3: Re-interpreting cultural heritage by co-creating an alternative guided tour/event concept Falun Mine

In the ISP Aveiro the students had the close opportunity to be a part of the reality and study a particular heritage site that exists in Ílhavo Municipality- its Maritime museum with a focus on the complex and interesting system of the “Aveiro Ria lagoon” and on the community’s traditional codfish fishing.
Upon arrival of the students they had the chance to explore Aveiro and the Ria lagoon context, participate in seminars about the Ria context (in terms of human geography and ecological value), the Ílhavo tourism context (municipality) and the Maritime Museum, including the view of a specialist guide of a German cultural tourism operator, who is also a travel writer. Apart from a guided tour to the Museum and its museum ship in the harbor, students had the opportunity to visit the municipality’s lighthouse and famous beaches with particular architecture. But they mostly addressed the museum case and discussed it, collecting additional data in both the museum and the Municipality, with interviews with the stakeholders from Ílhavo Maritime Museum and the representative of Tourism Sector of The City Hall of Ílhavo.
