🏰🎮 REPLAY Intake III took over Óbidos for the Óbidos Game Jam 2026!

In the streets of this medieval village, our students spent the jam creating games around this year’s theme: “Beyond the Periphery of Skin”

It was a chance to experiment, collaborate, and turn an unusual prompt into new playable ideas, all while creating in one of Portugal’s most unique settings. A big thank you to the Municipality of Óbidos for welcoming us and supporting this experience!

And this is only the beginning. Soon, we’ll be sharing the projects created during the jam at the FOLIO - Festival Literário Internacional de Óbidos! Stay tuned 👀

✨ Throwback to the Aurora Game Jam in Rovaniemi, Finland!

Last year, students from REPLAY’s first intake had the opportunity to create games inspired by one of the Arctic’s most magical phenomena: the Northern Lights 🌌🎮

Throughout the jam, they explored different ways of translating the aurora into mechanics, visuals, stories, and playful concepts, while developing their ideas together in just a few days.

A few days of experimentation, collaboration, and game making in the Arctic Circle, exploring how place, nature, and environment can inspire game design💫

REPLAY does REPLAY 🎮

Sometimes, the best speakers are already in the room!

In REPLAY does REPLAY, our students take the stage to share short talks about topics they are passionate about with the rest of the class. These sessions create a space to exchange knowledge, explore different areas of expertise, and learn from each other’s practices.

Big congratulations to the first RE:PLAY intake, Class of 2026, on your graduation! 🎓🎮✨

You started this journey and showed the power of bringing different cultures, backgrounds, and creative paths together through games.

This graduation marks the beginning of new stories, bold projects, meaningful collaborations, and wonderfully game ideas that can change the way people see the world.

And beyond everything you built and learned, you carry something even bigger with you: a community. A group of people who shared the chaos, the deadlines, the ideas, the experiments, and the joy of making games together.

Here’s to the first RE:PLAY generation! 🥂🎓💛

During the event, Soham collaborated with Didrik Lepistö, Mario Lokas, and Laggy Sousa to create "Unseen", developed over the course of the jam alongside hundreds of participants from across the international game development community.

Game Seminars - May Edition 🎮

For our May edition of Game Seminars, we hosted Becoming an Industry, a panel discussion exploring different paths within the game industry and the many roles that help shape it.

The panel brought together Natascha Rommens (FLEGA), Stijn Deschuyteneer (Oro Interactive), Laurent Grumiaux, and Ben Lega (Studio Tolima), who shared insights from their experiences in game industry advocacy, publishing, marketing, production, business development, and studio leadership.

Thank you to all our speakers for sharing their knowledge and experiences with us!
