#meettheteachers meet our incredible instructor Jennifer Mann 🩰 Jennifer is teaching Contemporary, Yoga, Improvisation as well as hosting the Group Motion Workshop at this years festival! 🎉 Jennifer Mann is a BFA graduate from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She is a versatile artist with a rich career in 💃dance, 👯‍♂️choreography, 🧚‍♂️improvisation, and 🧘‍♀️yoga teaching. With 27 years of dance and 20 years of yoga teaching experience, Jennifer co-created the weissmann technique® and the weissmann teacher training® program. She is certified to lead the Group Motion Workshop and has taught at various Berlin institutions and international festivals. 🔥 Jennifer studied yoga with James Bryan in the USA and Ananda Leone in Germany. She is a certified member of the BDY and EYU, and has advanced in Yin Yoga and meditation training. 🧘 In Berlin, she teaches at Yoga Sky and yellow yoga, and is involved in international yoga teacher training programs. With less than one month away from our Annual Women's Hall of Fame celebration, let's reflect on one of our past inductees, Judy Williams Henry! Judy was selected as the 2014 recipient of "Women Contributing to the Arts." We are incredibly thankful for the dedication and talent that you pour into our community!

Judy Williams Henry is the spirit of dance in Lebanon County, contributing to the arts as a professional dancer, actor, and international choreographer. She has inspired young dancers to fulfill their dreams. Judy has performed with many dance companies and studied with the School of American Ballet and Martha Graham. She has taught at the Hungarian State Ballet, Brandeis University, Harvard, MIT, Boston Conservatory, Lebanon Valley College, Elizabethtown College, and Millersville University.

Judy founded The Movement Laboratory in 1970 as a cultural exchange “Goodwill thru Dance” program which has traveled to 14 countries. She believes that movement is a universal language that can be used as a vehicle for peace and understanding. Her life’s journey has been intertwined with her love for children. Her greatest satisfaction has been seeing her students succeed. Many of them have gone on to careers in dance and theater. Her students have performed at the United Nations and she has led exchange programs, giving students international performance opportunities while enriching the lives of Lebanon County youth. In 2008 the Friendship Ambassadors Award was presented to Ms. Williams Henry at the United Nations in recognition of 20 years of global outreach.

Judy was named Executive Director of the International Year of the Child in Pennsylvania under Governor Thornburgh, was a consultant to the Massachusetts State Board of Education, and has evaluated dance proposals for the Pennsylvania State Arts Council. She received the Coretta Scott King Award for regional achievements in the arts from the Martin Luther King Family Life Center and the Lucy Wheelock Alumni Award for innovation in early childhood education. She has choreographed for Children’s Television Workshop, Fulton Theater, Gretna Theatre, Theatre Harrisburg, and innumerable schools and youth ballets. Judy holds a BFA from the Boston Conservatory of Music and an M.S.Ed. from Wheelock College.
