We're uber excited to announce that the 2024 HSBC German Film Festival, presented by Palace in cooperation with German Films, will return to cinema screens around the country in May.

Our first highlight film of the 2024 edition is our Centrepiece direct from the Berlin International Film Festival FOREIGN LANGUAGE (Langue Étrangère). In this cross cultural coming-of-age drama, two teenage pen pals in Leipzig and Strasbourg forge a friendship through letters and language exchange.

Opening night film just announced! See you at the 2022 German Film Festival 🎬🍿

Our Opening Night film, direct from Germany, is A STASI COMEDY.
🎥 Featuring a stellar cast including David Kross and Tom Schilling, a man’s double life as an underground poet and a Stasi agent in East Berlin in the 1980s comes back to haunt him 30 years later. As the title suggests, it is a comedy!
