www.naoth.de The Nao Team Humboldt - NaoTH is a research team located at the Department of Computer Science of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

Our general research interests focus on mobile autonomous humanoid robots. In particular we are participating in the international initiative RoboCup, were we develop autonomous agents being able to play soccer in the Standard Platform League (with Nao robots) and in the Simulation 3D League (with simulated robots).

Day #3 of RoboCup is over, and here are our highlights:

Our scored its first goal today!⚽️

We played two games with our NAO robots:
THMOS 3:0 (we lost)
ColmilosITAM 4:0(we won! 🥇)

Tomorrow we’re playing our last game in the Consolation Cup. Wish us luck!

Day 2 of was full of learnings and progress.

Our Robot is finally able to walk into the field, play the ball and listen to the Game Controller commands.

We've also made some progress on our NAO ball detection code.

We played 4 games and we refereed 4 games.

Looking forward to Day 3 of the champion!

We’re happy to share that, following our initiative, RoboCup has officially clarified that the display of rainbows and other symbols of inclusivity on playing robots is permitted.

Berlin United is a diverse team, and creating a safe and respectful environment for everyone is an important part of who we are.

We’re pleased that this has now been officially announced, and we hope it contributes to a RoboCup community where everyone feels welcome.

Day 1 of the is over! We played 2 games in the Small Division with the following score:

RO:BIT - 1:1
Mountain - 3:1

We were also fulfilling Head Referee, Game Controller and Assistant Referee duties throughout the day.

It was an intense day full of great moments and learnings and we're looking forward to Day 2!

🇰🇷🤖 We made it to Incheon!

After a long journey, our team and all robots have safely arrived at the RoboCup World Championship in South Korea and we're incredibly excited to finally be here!

Most of our equipment successfully made the trip with us, but one of our checked luggage containing a large part of our infrastructure equipment did not arrive.

We are still hoping it will be found and delivered soon, but if your team is already here and happens to have any spare hardware that you could lend us for the competition week, we would be extremely grateful for any help: 🔌 Network cables 🔀 Network switches 🔋 USB charging cables ⚡ Extension cords 🧰 Other spare infrastructure equipment, we truly appreciate any assistance! 🇰🇷⚽🤖

RoboCup German Open 2026 is over — and what a rollercoaster it’s been! 🤖⚽️

Our NAO robots competed against a wide range of teams in both the Small Size and Middle Size divisions of the Humanoid Soccer League. After intense matches, tough challenges, and lots of learning along the way, we won the 3rd place in the Small Division of HSL!🥉

Now, we’re already looking ahead and getting ready for the RoboCup German Open 2026 is over — and what a rollercoaster it’s been! 🤖⚽️
