Nominated! 🤩 We are thrilled to announce that the Akademie's "Music Speaks" program has been shortlisted for the 2026 OPUS KLASSIK Prize for the Promotion of Young Talent.
This educational program at the Barenboim-Said Akademie introduces children from Berlin's Willkommensklassen to classical music through workshops led by students and alumni of the academy. In regular meetings at the schools and the academy, music serves as a tool for language learning, creative expression, and mutual empowerment.
Led by Prof. Yael Kareth, the initiative integrates social responsibility into higher music education, giving students the practical skills to bridge artistic practice with community engagement.
