What better way to learn how to order your Kaffee und Kuchen in German than in situ?! I'm a German/Australian living in Berlin with 15 years experience teaching languages and a passion for cake. I can help you learn the basics for survival in a cafe environment, both functional language and smalltalk, while also enjoying some of the best coffee and cake Berlin has on offer. There are many wonderful cafes all over the city but depending on where you intend to explore on your chosen day, we'll organise to meet somewhere convenient to you. After our introductions are made, I'll guide you in understanding the menu and prepare you for placing your order in German. After putting your new language skills to work, we'll then learn some useful words and phrases for our very own Kaffeeklatsch. If you have specific language issues you'd like to focus on, thematic or grammatical, these can be addressed with advance notice. One-on-one tuition for an hour is 25 Euros, tuition in pairs for an hour is 30 Euros. This includes cake and a beverage too of course! (If you would prefer tuition (and cake!) in English, I am also a CELTA qualified English teacher.)
