Engaging discussions and hands-on experiences, all topped off with a delicious pizza break. 🍕 Grateful for the opportunity to enhance our skills and explore the possibilities of AI in data analysis!

From zero to hero in 18 hours!
The students from our Master Programme “Project Management and Data Science” recently learnt about the basics of Python for Data Science - Starting from zero and getting to train a fully functional machine learning model on the famous Titanic dataset.

We let students compete in Kaggle to train the best performing model and we’d like to congratulate the two winning teams!

The first prize goes to Team Erjon & Akshay, achieved the best performing model on Kaggle’s leaderboard with an accuracy of 81%!

The second prize goes to Team Tram, Sabrina, Justin, Sunny - Their model achieved an accuracy of 78%!

Two more teams submitted solutions with comparable performance - Quite a feat taking into the consideration the small amount of time that participants had to learn everything!

Finally, the students had a Q&A session with the trainer, Senior Data Scientist Samuel Lopez Santamaria, and learned about real-life considerations of machine learning projects, what it takes to successfully deal with a data science interview and how professional data scientists cooperate in teams.

We’re excited to see what our students will accomplish in the years to come. The journey has just started!
