Project Management and Data Science MPMD - MSc at HTW Berlin

MPMD is an interdisciplinary online Master programme, combining Project Management and Data Science. Language skills in German are not necessary.

International context

In the world's corporate environment it is highly important to be familiar with the international context and have a better understanding of it. The Master’s degree programme in Project Management and Data Science at HTW Berlin will help you to successfully manage and supervise projects in the international environment as well as facilitate, process and interpret extensive datasets and carry out analyses across different disciplines. Ideally prepared for a successful career

This specialisation is based on our survey of major German industrial companies, which revealed a strong demand for internationally oriented project management specialists and data scientists. During this program you will acquire international skills by working together with students of different nationalities and background. Since the programme is taught entirely in English, you will also be ideally prepared for the international labour market. International and practice-oriented

During your studies you will acquire knowledge of business administration with an international basis. The curriculum focuses on different areas of project and Information Management, various Data Analysis techniques as well as HR and Marketing. Deep knowledge of statistics is not required.

“Seeing the city in a different light.”
Last weekend, MPMD student Angela Salapa took on the Berlin Marathon — her third marathon after previously running in Los Angeles and Seville — and completed the 42.195 km in 4 hours and 16 minutes, her fastest marathon yet. 🏅

For Angela, the experience was about more than the finish time. Running through Berlin meant seeing the city from an entirely different perspective: surrounded by thousands of runners, spectators, and the energy of one of the city’s biggest sporting events.

She described the final stretch as challenging, but also incredibly rewarding, with the support of the crowds helping carry her through the last kilometres.

Moments like these are a reminder that student life in Berlin can extend far beyond the classroom — into new challenges, new experiences, and milestones you carry with you afterwards.

A new MPMD elective is on the way!

Starting in Winter Semester 2026/27, MPMD students can explore Statistical Programming with Python.

The elective takes a hands-on approach to statistical programming, combining Python with real-world examples and practical applications.

Yesterday, our MPMD students experienced a magical evening at the Spreespeicher Christmas market, beautifully set right by the water! 🎄🎅

Surrounded by the festive ambiance and twinkling lights along the Spree, we enjoyed a delicious array of Christmas treats. Thanks to everyone who joined us and made this event so special!

🎓 Celebrating Our MPMD Graduates! 🎓

We had an amazing graduation ceremony on September 23rd at the Wilhelminenhof campus, right by the beautiful Spree River. The atmosphere was wonderful with a delicious buffet and live music with a piano and cello!

The event was complete with fun moments in a photobooth, heartfelt speeches from our class representatives and valedictorian, and a special gift presentation from our program director.

The MPMD Summer Party on July 27th, 2024 was a day to remember! Despite the rain, the event was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Here’s a quick recap of our fantastic day:

🌮 Mexican Food Delights – Our Mexican food stalls were a sensation, serving delicious tacos, enchilladas, and more. The vibrant and tasty dishes were enjoyed by everyone!

🍹 Aperol Spritz Galore – The Aperol Spritz bar was buzzing all day, providing the perfect refreshing sip to complement the summer vibe.

😂 Funny Task – The task list was a hit.

🤝 Meeting New and Former Students – One of the best parts was seeing new students, current students, and alumni coming together.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended. Your energy and enthusiasm turned what could have been a rainy day into a vibrant and joyful celebration.
