Two teams, 50 km and a whole lot of shared energy 🏃⚡🤝
At the TEAM-Staffel race, our RENAC team came together to run, support one another and celebrate the energy we share every day.
It was more than a race. It was a moment of connection, joy and growth.
Experiences like this remind us that strong teams, like sustainable solutions, are built through collaboration, commitment and shared momentum.
We can’t wait to do it all again next year!

What if the force that sustains our lives is also the one we protect the least?
The ocean sustains life, regulates our climate and connects us all.
🌊This World Oceans Day, we are reminded that advancing clean energy and sustainable solutions is not just about innovation—it is about protecting our shared home.
Because every action we take today shapes the future of our planet.

At RENAC, we are proud to contribute to the IKI MENALINKS programme as an implementing partner, supporting the expansion of renewable energy education across the MENA region, including Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, and Türkiye.

Together with programme lead Guidehouse, national implementing partners and our academic partners - Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Monastir | ENIM (Tunisia), Yaşar Üniversitesi (Türkiye), Al Hussein Technical University جامعة الحسين التقنية HTU (Jordan), UM6P - Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (Morocco), and The British University in Egypt BUE-FEEE (Egypt) - we are working to strengthen the connection between academic learning and industry practice. Through this partnership, more than 130 hours of expert digital content on flexibility and sector coupling are being integrated into university curricula, helping equip students with practical knowledge for the energy transition.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to fostering knowledge exchange, strengthening academic networks, and empowering the next generation of energy professionals across the region.

Swipe through to see highlights from our ongoing collaboration.

The MENALINKS programme is led by Guidehouse Germany GmbH (Guidehouse Communities, Energy & Infrastructure). This project is supported by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the Federal Government of Germany. Within the Federal Government, the IKI is anchored in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Klimaschutz, Naturschutz und nukleare Sicherheit (BMUKN)). Selected individual projects are also the responsibility of the Federal Foreign Office (AA).

Saint Lucia, a Caribbean island nation, faces increasing vulnerability to extreme weather events.
As climate change intensifies storm patterns, the need for reliable forecasting, preparedness, and resilient energy systems has never been greater.
To support this transition, RENAC is contributing through a Train-the-Trainer programme under the Euroclima initiative. The programme focuses on strengthening local expertise and building the capacity needed to expand solar PV systems across the island.
By empowering local professionals, this initiative is helping to accelerate Saint Lucia’s clean energy transition while fostering long-term resilience and energy independence.
This initiative is part of Euroclima, a European Union programme that strengthens cooperation between the EU and Latin America and the Caribbean to advance a green and just transition in the region. As part of the Global Gateway strategy, the programme supports knowledge exchange and sustainable action in key sectors, including energy transition. In Saint Lucia, GIZ is one of the implementing organisations contributing to this effort.

We’re celebrating the successful conclusion of our Green Banking Train-the-Trainer (TtT) programme in Vietnam and Indonesia!
This initiative equipped local experts with the skills to deliver impactful green finance trainings tailored to their unique contexts. From didactical techniques to technical content on green energy financing, participants are now ready to multiply the impact of sustainable banking.
Highlights from the training
- A dynamic cohort of 22 local experts, 11 from Vietnam and 11 from Indonesia, strengthened their capacity to deliver context-specific green banking trainings in their respective markets
- Through interactive mini training sessions and group presentations, the cohort put facilitation techniques, communication skills, and structured feedback methods into practice
- A hands-on renewable energy project cash flow analysis exercise helped transform technical financing concepts into trainer-ready learning formats for future green finance trainings
A huge thank you to our partner institutions:
🤝 Lembaga Pengembangan Perbankan Indonesia (LPPI) – Indonesia
🤝 Học viện Ngân hàng (BAV) and Asian Institute of Technology Centre in Vietnam (AITCV) – Vietnam
And to Salem Kadi, our RENAC trainer, for sharing his expertise!
