We have returned at last to our Dojo and training as usual!
Every Tuesday 19:00 - 21:00 at Oranie burgerstr 32.

Out training plan this year will follow the Honbu Dojo plan -

Training week number 1, AKBAN Ninjutsu The first training week is getting to know the foundation level (fitness) and the second level (kihon) of the Methodical pyramid. The Methodical pyramid is a method to design training to meet modern challenges and guard the immense Ninjutsu Kata syllabus.

Dear Friends -

Due to recent demand I am very happy to announce the opening of a women only training group in the AKBAN school for combat and self defence.

The group will take place in the Zion Famillienzentrum - Oranienburger Str. 28-31, 10117 Berlin, every Thursday at 17:50
Price is 25€ per month.

* Fitness

* Mobility training

* Specialized combat techniques for fighting a stronger opponent

* Maintaining a focused conduct in tense situations

* Use of improvised weapons

Dear friends - AKBAN Berlin is starting a new training year on September 1st!

We are finally going back to our Dojo on Oranienburger Str. 28-31 and will resume training under social-distancing regulations.

That means:

- Lots of Fitness, Mobility and Strength training

- Emphasis on correct technique in traditional and modern fighting applications

- Weapon training - mainly chain (Kusari Fundo) and short staff (Hanbo)

- Grappling techniques using modified training methods.

Dear friends, as expected - we too are taking a break from training in the Dojo.
I am still considering organized ways to continue our training as a group, even in case of a lockdown - I will update soon.

AKBAN dojo didn’t stop for nothing, no war, no man, no rain, we just kept coming and training. All this has changed today, I just sent a message in our private groups that there will be no training. It was tough on me, a lonely decision.

We shouldn’t stop for fear for ourselves, we are strong and healthy and we have herbs and practice on our side. We should now stop for a different reason, we should stop to protect our weak, for our high risk friends or family.

That should be our highest motive, to protect the old the weak or maybe, the unfortunate.

This virus is dangerous and limiting physical contact is our, my, responsibility. This will delay, give time and maybe even lower the possibility of getting sick.

I am sorry about the session loss, I already miss the dojo, miss you, my friends, but, I haven’t stopped training. I will upload it, I have already started uploading part of my morning routine and we will use technology to meet in spirit but maintain this discipline of protection.

Doron, my teacher told me, “When a martial arts practitioner enters the room, everyone is a little bit safer” now is the time of the paradox. The weak will be safer if we DO NOT enter the room.

I have been telling the veterans since January, this will be a hard fight, but we must win it.

Take care and carry your independent training kernel with you, daily.
