Invitation for Khatamul Quran
and Dua Night
Surah Al-Qadr (The Night of
Decree)
Verily! We have sent it (this
Qur'an) down in the night of Al-
Qadr(Decree)
And what will make you know
what the night of Al-Qadr
(Decree) is?
The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is
better than a thousand months
Therein descend the angels and
the Ruh [Jibrael} by Allah's
Permission with all Decrees,
Peace! (All that night, there is
Peace and Goodness from Allah
to His believing slaves) until the
appearance of dawn.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, As-
Salāmu `Alaykum
:
Alhamdulillah, by the Mercy of
Allah (swt), Khatamul Quran at
Islamic Foundation of Toronto
will take place on the, 27th night
of Ramadan (Thursday, July 24,
2014).
Allah (swt) knows best, this night
can be, Laylatul Qadar, the night
of great blessing in which Allah
(swt) showers His Mercy upon
those of His believers who
sincerely and faithfully love and
obey Him and His
commandments.
Please join us with your family
and friends on this blessed night
of Khatamul Quran, followed by
collective dua.
We pray and plead to Allah (swt)
that He accepts everyone’s
Siyam, Qiyam, all acts of Ibadah
and Charity during this blessed
month. Aameen!

Al-Baseer (the All-Seeing)
Being aware that Allah sees
whatever we do is the highest level
of faith which requires us to be
consistently righteous. Being aware
that Allah sees whatever others do
builds trust in Allah and removes
anxieties and temptations regarding
others getting away with evil.

Fasting involves both physical and
psychological abstinence. It is
required that the individual not
only give up food, drink and sexual
relations, but that he or she also
restrain themselves from all forms
of lying, back biting, slander, etc.
This is confirmed by the Prophet's
(pbuh) statement, "Allah has no
need for the hunger and the thirst
of the person who does not
restrain himself from telling lies
and acting on them even while
observing the fast."(Sahih al-
Bukhari (Arabic-English), vol.3,
pp.70-1, no.127)
