Metre offers group-based learning courses as well as individual lessons. The duration of courses is 12-weeks long. Beginning courses in instrument technique are prerequisites for intermediate study, but they may be tested out of. Introduction to Music Theory is a prerequisite course for all of the theory courses, but may also be tested out of; theory courses may be taken in whatever order one wishes, but for a more comprehensive understanding and command of the materials at hand we recommend pursuing the sections successively.

At the end of each session, there is a student recital at the Metre Academy Headquarters, where students will have a chance to play solo or in an ensemble. Each student will be provided with a recording of their recital.
