🖌Cyanotype Textile Workshop for Old White T-Shirts
Date: Tuesday12.05.2026
Time: 17:00 – 20:00
Location: Oberlandstraße 26–35, 12099 Berlin, Haus 9
Join us for a Cyanotype textile workshop where we will experiment together with ways to give a second life to old white T-shirts through one of the earliest photographic printing techniques. Cyanotype, also known as a blueprint process, is a simple, magical, and playful printing technique that creates deep blue images using UV light. Inspired by nature and powered by sunlight, this workshop invites participants to rediscover forgotten clothing and transform it into something personal, expressive, and wearable again, in creative ways to reimagine clothes that are no longer “white enough” to wear. During the workshop, participants will explore printing on natural cotton fabric using plants, objects, and handmade compositions. We will take time to experiment, observe, and create unique patterns shaped by light and nature. Together, we will explore how creativity, sunlight, and experimentation can help us reduce textile waste while making clothing more meaningful and personal.
✂Embodiment-Inspired Reverse Appliqué Workshop
Date: Thursday 21.05.2026
Time: 17:00 – 20:00
Join us for an Embodiment-Inspired Reverse Appliqué Workshop where sewing becomes a tool for self-expression, storytelling, and giving new life to damaged clothing. During the workshop, participants will learn the technique of reverse appliqué and explore how textile repair can become both creative and deeply personal. Reverse appliqué is a sewing technique in which layers of fabric are placed underneath one another and carefully cut away to reveal hidden colors, textures, and shapes beneath the surface. This process creates depth, contrast, and expressive designs while also allowing us to repair holes, stains, and worn areas in old clothing. Together, we will experiment with transforming old T-shirts and textiles into expressive pieces that can communicate emotions, symbols, memories, and messages.
To participate, registration is required through this Google Form --> https://forms.gle/4A4GC5QAw4QC2sMf8
The workshops are co-funded by the European Union and free of charge.

During Fashion Revolution Week, we came together in Berlin for a series of workshops where participants learned how to reuse, repair, and personalise textiles in a relaxed and open space. With Geo Gregory, we turned old T-shirts and fabric scraps into yarn and learned basic knitting, starting small handmade projects like bags. It was a hands-on way to see how materials we usually throw away can become something useful again.
In the next workshops, we focused on creativity and repair. With Nino Kipiani, participants designed and printed their own patterns using linoleum printing, making their clothes more personal and unique. With Lili Petkovics, we learned Sashiko-inspired visible mending, using simple stitching techniques to repair damaged clothes while making them look beautiful. Across all workshops, people shared ideas, learned new skills, and reflected on how small actions can help us live in a more sustainable way.
The project is co-funded by the European Union. The workshops are part of the Solidarity Corps project "Act. Create. Transform."
Stay tuned for updates on our next workshop.

How long do you commute each day? What is your main way of transport? How much do you spend on public transport each month? Have you ever tried bike touring?
These are some of the questions we explored during our bike picnic, which marked the closing event of our year-long youth participation project.
It was a great opportunity to reflect on the role of cycling in our daily lives, its social impact, and to get ready for spring adventures.
We shared photos, food, conversations, and games. Together with .berlin, we set up a small repair station where participants could do basic bike checks and repairs, while also exchanging knowledge and tips.
There was also the chance to screen print the project logo with .berlin
Thanks to everyone who joined us and for showing up despite the windy weather.

In January, we spent a week in the beautiful Sidi Kaouki, Morocco, for the third edition of our Erasmus+ training course Youth Work Flow 3.0.
Together with youth workers and practitioners from Morocco, Jordan, Egypt, Georgia, and across Europe, we explored Acroyoga, partner acrobatics, and embodied play as tools for non-formal education and community building.
Through a combination of practical workshops, reflection sessions, and peer exchange, participants developed methods for using movement as a tool for social inclusion, working with the body as a universal language that can bridge cultures, abilities, and backgrounds.
Building on previous editions, the training focused on how these approaches can be transferred into participants’ local contexts and youth work practice.
Many thanks to our local partners and , and to our inspiring trainers Juri Kussmauel and Brenda Jorda.
Looking forward to returning to Morocco for future projects

🐝During the workshop, we came together to explore and develop alternatives to plastic packaging using old textiles.
Participants selected second-hand fabrics and chose patterns they wanted to transform into their own beeswax wraps and small reusable bags. This process encouraged creativity while rethinking how existing materials can be reused in everyday life.
Lili introduced the materials and explained what needed to be mixed and how to work with the beeswax. Step by step, the group followed the process, turning fabric into functional, natural food wraps.
Throughout the session, we exchanged ideas on reducing plastic use and reflected on how simple, practical solutions can support more sustainable daily habits.
The workshop created a space for learning, experimentation, and collective thinking around ecological responsibility.
The project is co-funded by the European Union. The workshops are part of the Solidarity Corps project "Act. Create. Transform."
Stay tuned for updates on our next workshop.
