The "Spring Tango Camp" is a new project by Francesco and Sonja, that consists of dance classes, lectures, milongas, and relaxing moments spent together in the nature. In their travels as teachers and DJs in many years they have matured a vast experience, which they would like to share with you through these events. FRANCESCO
Francesco is a musical, elegant, and versatile Tango dancer. The main c
harateristics of his dance are the connection with the music and with the partner. He started dancing Tango in Italy in 2006, and studied it intensively in his frequent travels to Buenos Aires. Since 2013 Francesco is a travelling teacher and performer based in Berlin, cooperating with numerous maestras and maestros, and the main schools in Berlin, Europe and outside. Relying on his decades-long experience in martial arts, his classes are well-structured, precise, and they involve hard work, as well as fun and laughs. He does not believe in dogmatic approaches, and he is able to address and recognize individual needs of his students. Francesco is also a recognized Tango DJ with international fame. His knowledge and understanding of the music and of the dancers enables him to produce energetic nights of enjoyment and passion. Aside from Tango, Francesco loves fitness, studying history and languages. reading, and writing. He speaks English, German, Italian, and Spanish. SONJA
Sonja is a prominent tango figure in Europe. In 2008 she founded Tango Natural, the biggest and one of the most famous tango schools in Europe, that brought thousands of people into Tango. She organizes the biggest tango festival in the world, "Belgrade Tango Encuentro", as well as other international tango events in Serbia and abroad. Her large experience in teaching makes her capable to understand and adapt to the needs of any student. Her classes include technical trainings, playful games, and connection exercises; they can be structure based, as well as about basic and advanced musicality. As teacher she likes to use a variety of approaches and concepts. As dancer she studied with the biggest names of Argentine tango. She has been travelling around Europe for the past 10 years, taking part in numerous festivals and marathons. This guaranteed her a large experience in social dancing and a deep understanding of different styles. Sonja is also an internationally famous tango DJ, and has been playing at many of the major European events. Her musical selection is based on her skill to feel the dancers and their mood, to follow and lead them through the night with lots of passion, playfullness, and joy. She is a professional actress, in both theatre and cinema. This has remained her great passion to this day, together with dancing, which has become an unseparable part of her life.
