„Newcomer Artist:innenfestival Berlin“
•
We have divided the performances into two shows, starting at 3pm and 6.30pm respectively. The two shows will be hosted by the well-known magician & entertainer "Thomas Otto", who has happily agreed to take part in this show format.
•
A total of 17 artistic performances (budding graduates) from .berlin and - Schule der darstellenden Künste as well as 4 performances from .springling will take part in these two shows.

Stand der World Circus Day in den letzten beiden Jahren ganz unter dem Eindruck der Corona-Pandemie, hätte 2022 ganz im Sinne der Hoffnung auf friedlichere Zeiten stehen können. Doch der nun seit Wochen andauernde Konflikt in der überschattet das Jahr 2022 in einem noch nicht zu überschauenden Maße.

Gemeinsam mit unseren Kooperationspartner DIE ETAGE - Schule der darstellenden und bildenden Künste, der Global Alliance of Circus Schools GACS und der Fédération Mondiale du Cirque werden wir dennoch diesen Ehrentag, unter dem Motto "United For Peace", am 16. April 2022 begehen. Unsere Unterstützung und unsere Gedanken weilen besonders bei den Angehörigen der in der umkämpften Hauptstadt .

A lot has changed in the past century, but one place
remains frozen in time. Separated from the rest of
the world, the Hotel Bizarre sleeps. At least, that was
until one guest came and disturbed this peace.
Join our guest on the journey through a parallel reality
where he will face a kaleidescope of circus, weirdness,
love and useless staff.

Contemporary Circus Department at DIE ETAGE -
School for Performing Arts.

After a week of conditioning, our famous „back to shape” week, classes start as normal. Our second years are preparing their Werkstatt and the third years their graduation.

End of 1st year show.

Arrival at the training hall: it is 8.00 am. Three envelopes are waiting for the first year students, and they are told that each envelope contains their ticket to the second year. One innocent soul steps forward and seals the fate of the entire class by choosing one of the three envelopes: You have 90 minutes to create a show that describes your first year at Die Etage, each of you must have at least one solo part and acroyoga is forbidden.

Tomorrow holidays will be officially over and we all will hopefully see our teachers again. A special Thank you at this point to
Piotr Zdanowicz who is the head of circus department since one year now and handled this difficult (a word which here means: most of the time impossible) task admirably under memorable (a word which here describes the pandemic, the lockdown, unpredictable changes in politic and teachers and students lifes and the ordinary madness of this world) circumstances.
