UCARE Excellence on Demand Masterclass in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
An inspiring start in Jeddah as leading experts came together under the umbrella of the Global Allergy and Asthma Excellence Network to advance urticaria care across the Kingdom and the Arabian Gulf.
From real-world evidence shared by Adeeb Bulkhi, to Prof. Rand Arnaout highlighting how UCARE Riyadh is elevating standards of care, and Afnaan Hasanain addressing the economic and humanistic burden of urticaria — the discussions reflected scientific excellence and a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes.
The day concluded with a dynamic panel discussion featuring Hanna Bonnekoh, Rand Arnaout, Afnaan Hasanain, and Adeeb Bulkhi, led by Yousef Binamer, focusing on the newly published urticaria guidelines and their practical implementation in Saudi Arabia.
A strong beginning to a Masterclass dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and improving care for patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria.

🌍 MASTHAVE App now available in Portugal & France
We are happy to share that the MASTHAVE App is now available to patients and physicians in Portugal and France — expanding access to real-time mastocytosis monitoring within the Global Allergy and Asthma Excellence Network community and beyond.
Why this matters
Mastocytosis is a highly heterogeneous disease. Symptoms fluctuate, multiple organs may be involved, and treatment is often complex. Many patients require several medications, yet symptom control remains incomplete for a substantial proportion. In daily practice, capturing this dynamic disease burden remains challenging.
What the MASTHAVE App is about
The focus of the MASTHAVE App is simple and practical:
it helps patients monitor their disease in real time and supports physicians with structured, longitudinal information between visits.
Patients can easily document symptoms, triggers and medication intake, while physicians receive a clear, automatically generated patient report that supports more targeted and efficient consultations.
Built on validated PROMs
At the core of the app are internationally established, linguistically validated Patient-Reported Outcome Measures:
• Mastocytosis Activity Score (MAS)
• Mastocytosis Control Test (MCT)
• Mastocytosis Quality of Life (MC-QoL)
This allows meaningful use in routine care and clinical research — without adding burden to patients or clinics.
Looking ahead
With Portugal and France now on board, the MASTHAVE App is available in 9 countries — and more will follow. Our goal is to improve day-to-day care, empower patients, and create a bridge between routine practice and real-world evidence.
📱 Call to action
If you are
• a patient living with mastocytosis,
• a physician treating mast cell disorders, or
• a patient organization or partner interested in digital solutions for rare diseases,
we invite you to explore the app and share it within your network.
