Kicking off our new program line: T✴︎SCHOOL 🍵✨
with a powdered tea workshop by
T✴︎SCHOOL is a new tea learning series dedicated to tea knowledge and craftsmanship, while engaging with contemporary topics shaping the tea world — including sustainability, regenerative practices, and water stewardship.
Our first workshop:
Whisking Up a Storm: Powdered Teas from Nagasaki
Join us for a 2-hour workshop with Marjolein , exploring powdered teas beyond matcha. We’ll start by tasting classic Nagasaki leaf teas — kamairicha, tamaryokucha & wakōcha — before diving into high-grade tea powders, from traditional matcha to tamaryokucha and hōjicha powder. Learn how local tea producers are responding to the global powdered tea boom and evolving tea practices.
For tea lovers, curious minds & anyone interested in where tea is heading 🌱
Hosted by Marjolein Raijmakers .mar_ , who has lived in Nagasaki for 2.5 years. Together with Yasuharu Matsumoto (Matsu), she runs Ikedoki Tea — a project dedicated to promoting Nagasaki teas, supporting local producers, and sharing a peaceful world through Japanese tea.
✨ Limited spots — sign up via Luma (link in bio)
Stay tuned for more T✴︎SCHOOL programs coming soon
