We are excited to see the Bridging Borders project featured as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of GRIGRI PIXEL in Madrid!

Bringing together partners, artists, researchers, and community actors from across Europe, the event creates a space for dialogue on migration, hospitality, inclusion, and combating disinformation. Through creative collaboration and intercultural exchange, participants explore how our cities and communities can become more welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

🌍 🌍 Bridging Borders at Além Fronteiras Festival 2026

We are proud to be part of Além Fronteiras (Beyond Borders), a youth art festival organised by Aproximar, bringing together young people, artists, educators, and community members to celebrate diversity, creativity, and intercultural dialogue.

As part of the Bridging Borders project, this inspiring event creates opportunities for young people from different cultural and social backgrounds to connect, exchange experiences, and strengthen active citizenship. Through art, participation, and collaboration, the festival promotes social inclusion, mutual understanding, and solidarity across Europe.

The event also contributes to the wider objectives of Bridging Borders by fostering dialogue on migration, inclusion, democratic participation, and community engagement while building stronger connections between local and international communities.

🌍 Bridging Borders Project – Dissemination Activity with Teachers

As part of the Bridging Borders (BB) Project, a dissemination activity was successfully carried out with the participation of 10 teachers.

During the session, participants were introduced to the project’s objectives, ongoing activities, and key outcomes. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on how the project’s results and resources can be integrated into educational settings and shared with wider communities.

The activity also highlighted the importance of international collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovative educational practices in strengthening learning opportunities across Europe.

We are pleased to contribute to the visibility and sustainability of the project by engaging educators and encouraging the wider use of its outcomes.

Together, we continue building bridges across cultures, communities, and educational systems.

🌍 Bridging Borders Project – Online Partners Meeting Successfully Held

The Bridging Borders partnership, bringing together 12 organisations from 10 EU countries, met online to review project progress and coordinate upcoming activities.

During the meeting, partners discussed:
✅ The upcoming GRIGRI Festival in Spain in June 2026,
✅ The final Bridging Borders events in Brussels in November 2026,
✅ The event planned at the European Parliament,
✅ Updates on the Bridging Borders documentary being developed in collaboration with Per Esempio (Italy), Cinemaximiliaan (Belgium), and TAMA (Malta),
✅ Monitoring and evaluation activities led by KMOP,
✅ The project extension and next implementation steps.

A major highlight of the discussion was the preparation of the final events in Brussels, including a screening and dialogue at the European Parliament, providing an opportunity to share the project’s achievements with policymakers, stakeholders, and wider audiences.

Supported by the European Commission through the CERV Programme (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values), Bridging Borders promotes inclusion, solidarity, intercultural dialogue, and the participation of people with migration backgrounds across Europe.

We thank all partners for their commitment and valuable contributions as we continue building stronger, more inclusive communities together.
