+++ 90. Geburtstag Professor Friedrich Busse +++
Das Physikalische Institut der Universität Bayreuth gratuliert Professor Dr. Friedrich H. Busse herzlich zu seinem 90. Geburtstag!
Von 1984 bis zu seine Emeritierung 2001 und auch noch darüber hinaus prägte er die Theoretische Physik an der Universität Bayreuth und war u.a. Mitbegründer des Forschungsschwerpunkts Nichtlineare Dynamik. Seine wegweisenden Arbeiten zur Fluiddynamik und zur Entstehung planetarer Magnetfelder haben das Fach nachhaltig beeinflusst. Auch der ihm benannte "Busse Balloon" steht für seine bedeutenden Beitrag zur Erforschung dynamischer Systeme.

The Department of Physics at the University of Bayreuth warmly congratulates Professor Friedrich H. Busse on his 90th birthday!
From 1984 until his retirement in 2001, and beyond, he helped shape theoretical physics at the University of Bayreuth. He was also one of the founders of the university’s research focus field on nonlinear dynamics. His pioneering work on fluid dynamics and the generation of planetary magnetic fields has had a lasting impact on the field. The Busse balloon, named after him, is another testament to his significant contributions to the study of dynamical systems.
