One day to go! Meet panellist number 5.
Prof. Dr. Lamberto Duò, vice-rector for Education at PoliMi will be our fifth high-profile panellist. Prof. Dr. Duò grew up as an Electronic Engineer at Politecnico di Milano and University of Liverpool and then went into Physics. He has been a professor of Experimental Physics at PoliMi since 1999. After several years of institutional activities carried out within the University, mainly on teaching and education, in 2017 he was appointed as vice rector for education and was elected as Director of the Department of Physics in 2020.
As chairman of Education, during the last few years, he has led the innovation process on teaching at PoliMi, bringing great examples of „innovative teaching“ like blended learning in many courses of the University. He has always had an eye on the future and in these months of emergency he has been able to guide the University through distance teaching, online graduations, remote exams and entry tests very well. We are confident that even in this new phase where tomorrow's teaching is an unknown factor for everyone, he can help us in finding some good options.
We are very excited to have Prof. Dr. Lamberto Duò as our panellist representing during our Panel Discussion on Distance Teaching on Saturday, 23rd of May, 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Before this Prof. Dr. Springman committed herself in sports, winning many European medals in Triathlon and gained industrial experience working on geothermal projects in England, Australia and Fiji. As a rector, she always emphasised the importance of students participation. Another important topic for her is the support of more young women to pursue technical careers.
To support her students during the COVID-19 situation, she did several Q&A sessions on instagram where she answered lots of interesting questions. It is very important for her to stay connected to the students in this difficult time.
