20 years of the Summer School “German Engineering, Language & Culture"! 🎓
For 20 years, RWTH International Academy has contributed to the long-standing partnership with 慶應義塾 / Keio University in Japan through the Summer School.
Every summer, students from Keio University spend three weeks in Aachen, combining academic insights in engineering and natural sciences with German language learning and a social program supported by RWTH mentors.
The Short-Term Programs Team of RWTH International Academy also hosted a farewell event for members of Keio University. Prof. Kenjiro Takemura spoke about the importance of student exchange and the unique opportunity for students to experience RWTH, German culture, and student life in Aachen.
This year, we also celebrated a remarkable milestone in our long-standing partnership between RWTH Aachen University and Keio University in Japan: 70 years of collaboration and exchange. 🎈
The anniversary celebration brought together representatives, lecturers, alumni, and researchers from both universities, highlighting the many connections that have grown across generations, cultures, and disciplines.
A special highlight of the event was the awarding of an Honorary Fellowship to Prof. Obi. ✨
We are proud to be part of this long-standing partnership and grateful to our colleagues and partners at Keio University for 70 years of collaboration, exchange, and shared experiences.
Here’s to building bridges and creating opportunities for future generations!
