💭 Ever fallen into one of these traps?
1️⃣ Confirmation bias – Only seeking information that confirms what you already believe.
2️⃣ False cause – Believing that because B follows A, A must have caused B.
3️⃣ Bandwagon effect – Thinking something is right just because “everyone else thinks so.”
Critical thinking helps us notice these patterns — and ask better questions instead of giving fast answers.

Together with 11 other organisations from across Europe, we’re working to support young people in becoming active, informed citizens.

End of 2024 – final meeting in Poznań, Poland

At the end of November 2024, Náš tábor, z. s., visited the Polish metropolis of Poznań to meet with the NGO Logos to evaluate our joint project Empowering Growth, which accompanied us in 2023 and 2024.
In this meeting, we discussed the impacts, challenges and successes of our efforts. We have also identified areas of growth to ensure that the lessons learned inform our future initiatives.

Many thanks to all the participants and especially to our partner Logos, who guided us with great patience through this project and thus we were able to gain our first experience as part of Erasmus+ youth.
Thanks also go to the Polish national agency Narodowa Agencja Programu Erasmus+, Fundacja Rozwoju Systemu Edukacji, which participated in this project.

Meeting you is a great experience and opportunity for us. Thank you once again and we look forward to continuing together.

OUR FIRST GUIDE
We would like to present to you our very first not only tourist guide, on which we collaborated with our foreign partner Logos NGO from Poland.

This guide, created during our "Empowering Growth" project, is now available to you too!

Presentation of our Empowering Growth project

In June 2024, we organized a meeting of the general public in the city of Žinkovy and a meeting of high school and university employees in Pilsen to present the activities of the Empwering growth project, which was made possible thanks to great support and excellent cooperation with the non-governmental organization Logos, NGO based in Poland.
During the multiplication event, we noticed enthusiasm and great understanding for our activities and connecting young people across Europe. A number of participants in our presentation would like to join our activities, which bring together students and young people from all over Europe and from non-European countries thanks to a common language - English. They would like to experience working together and overcoming the obstacles that life brings.
The project is implemented in coorperation with:

EXPEDITION POZNAŃ, POLSKA
From May 31 to June 2, 2024, an activity took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ project in cooperation with the non-governmental organization Logos, NGO. We participated in the expedition together with Ukrainians, our Polish neighbors and young people with limited opportunities who had the opportunity to gain new knowledge and experience. At the same time, we learned how to combine outdoor activities with discussions on serious topics, such as during mobility we discussed other plans for the future, and at the same time planned and solved the organization of other joint projects. By meeting with local stakeholders, the project gained new contacts and information.
We were the first to discover the beauties of Poznaň. Right after that we went kayaking on the Obra River where we all got to learn new skills such as kayaking, outdoor cooking, tent building and outdoor work. During all this, we could melt away at the beauty of the nature there. Other skills were also developed - teamwork, organizational skills, etc. The event was held as part of the "Empowering growth" project.

Šumava expedition
From April 25 to 29, 2024, the 2nd activity within the Erasmus+ project for youth - "Empowering growth" took place in cooperation with the NGO Logos, namely an expedition to Šumava in the Czech Republic.
In these days, our friends from Ukraine, Belarus, India, Ethiopia, who now live in Poland (8 participants from Poland, 8 participants from the Czech Republic), experienced many adventures on a journey of discovery, on a bicycle trip and on foot in the beautiful nature of Šumava. The activities associated with our 2nd outdoor meeting were very informative. Not only were we able to get to know bits and pieces of the history of the Czech state, but we also had an in-depth discussion about our lives in Europe and beyond. It was very interesting to observe and experience the cultural differences between us, when across Europe and beyond the borders of Europe there was a strong line of relationship between the participants of this meeting. Astonishment and admiration prevailed many times, many times we experienced freedom in our activities, but also a great sense of belonging when we were in the harsh conditions of the Šumava nature, when we overcame an elevation of 380 m in the course of 4 km, not only in beautiful sunny weather, but also in snow. and not only on foot, but also by bike.
In these often difficult conditions, we became one team, one family regardless of our cultural differences. We helped each other, supported each other, talked and laughed.
More than once our conversation turned to ecology. Even during our stay in Šumava, we always behaved very ecologically and treated nature with great respect.
In the Šumava, we visited the source of the Vltava – the longest river in the Czech Republic, we climbed one of the highest peaks of the Šumava – Boubín, where there is a beautiful lookout tower, we saw in Lenora how bread and buns are baked in a 200-year-old stone oven just like the bakers more than 200 years ago. We passed through a restored peatland near the Soumarské bridge near the Vltava.
Despite the sometimes cold weather, the evening program always took place outside in connection with nature. It was very informative and beneficial for all of us to communicate in a relaxed atmosphere about our lives and the lives of our families in the countries of the European Union.
We are already very much looking forward to the next meeting, which will take place in May 2024 in Poznań, Poland.

The Erasmus+ project "The Sound of Stories", on which Náš tábor, z. s. cooperates with partners from Denmark, Belgium and Poland, has entered the final phase.
Stories full of interesting sounds are now being tested in schools in all four countries.

Erasmus+ projekt "Zvuky k příběhům", na kterém Náš tábor, z. s. spolupracuje s partnery z Dánska, Belgie a Polska, přešel do poslední fáze.
Nyní se ve školách všech čtyř zemí testují příběhy plné zajímavých zvuků.
