ENGLISH TENSES: STEP BY STEP
There are 12 tenses in English. First, have a look at some examples.
Present simple: I work, it works
Present continuous: I am working, it is working
Past simple: I helped, it went
Past continuous: I was helping
Future simple: I will sleep
Future continuous: I will be sleeping
Present perfect simple: I have stayed, it has broken
Present perfect continuous: I have been staying, it has been staying
Past perfect simple: I had moved, it had taken
Past perfect continuous: I had been moving
Future perfect simple: I will have learned, it will have sunk
Future perfect continuous: I will have been learning
