Last Friday’s Writing Games & Activities in the Classroom online workshop was a very positive and productive session, with teachers actively sharing ideas and reflecting on their classroom practice.
Some of the feedback included:

“It was really nice and useful, I am looking forward to using the activities in my classrooms.”
“The final booklet is also helpful since everything is in one place.”
“I liked the talking and sharing in English.”
“There is always a lot to learn from what you hear and it gives you time to rethink what you could actually do in class.”

Following this successful workshop, I’m pleased to invite you to my next seminar:

AI in the Classroom – Brno on 27/02/26
This is a practical, teacher-focused session exploring realistic ways AI can support lesson planning, materials, and classroom tasks.

Last Friday’s online teacher seminar brought together 11 English teachers for an active and highly practical session. What stood out most in the feedback was the value of sharing ideas, exchanging real classroom experiences, and learning from one another in a structured, supportive environment.

Teachers especially appreciated the focus on fast finishers, differentiating pace in mixed-ability classes, and collaborative discussions that allowed time to reflect on what truly works in their own classrooms.

The next online seminar focuses fully on Writing Games & Activities and takes place on 6 February 2026. It runs as a full 8-hour training (08:30–15:00) and includes a 70+ page booklet packed with practical writing activities and classroom-ready ideas. The seminar is currently available at half price, but this offer will not last.

To have some idea of what we will look at during the seminar: a free downloadable booklet with 10 writing games and activities. https://kristof.abrath.com/teachers/resources/

Last Friday in Prague, 17 English teachers joined a hands-on seminar on mixed ability classes, and it was really inspiring!

From the very first session, the room was full of energy: teachers shared their experiences, discussed classroom challenges, and explored practical strategies to differentiate lessons, engage all students, and manage diverse classrooms.

The feedback was wonderful! Teachers loved the friendly and professional atmosphere, the interactive activities, and the chance to work together, share ideas, and reflect on what works best for their students. Many left with fresh, practical tips they could immediately apply.

All participants received a 70+ page comprehensive booklet packed with activities, ideas, and practical strategies for mixed ability classrooms.

Last week’s challenge was all about Part 4 of the Cambridge Use of English paper – Key Word Transformations!

Students really stretched their grammar muscles by rephrasing sentences while keeping the same meaning, a true test of flexibility and precision! 💪✨

They discovered how small grammatical changes can completely shift meaning and how the key word acts as a clever bridge between two sentence structures.

By the end of the class, they could:
✔ Identify the grammar point being tested
✔ Rebuild sentences using a range of structures
✔ Keep the original meaning intact
✔ Use the correct verb forms, tenses, and expressions confidently

It’s inspiring to see how focused and creative they were — turning grammar transformations into a fun linguistic puzzle! 🧩

Step by step, they’re building the skills they need for FCE & CAE exam success. 📘🎓

👉 How about you? Do you enjoy grammar challenges like this?

Last week’s challenge was 🎯 Cambridge Use of English Part 3 – Word Formation.

Students learned how to build words like language architects: turning nouns into verbs, adjectives into adverbs, and more! They discovered how prefixes and suffixes can completely change meaning and how careful spelling makes a big difference.

By the end of the class, they knew how to:
✔ Spot the grammar clue in the sentence
✔ Use prefixes and suffixes correctly
✔ Recognize word families and typical patterns
✔ Check that the new word fits both the grammar and meaning

It is nice to see how creative and focused students can be, turning word transformations into a fun language challenge! Step by step, they’re getting exam-ready for FCE & CAE success. 🧩💪📚✨

2 weeks ago, my students focused on 🎯 Cambridge Use of English Part 2 – Open Cloze.

They explored how this part tests their grammar awareness, vocabulary, and ability to understand context. Together, we looked at what makes a sentence complete — and how one tiny missing word can change everything!

By the end of the lesson, they knew how to:
✔ Read for overall meaning before filling in the blanks
✔ Think about grammar structures (prepositions, linkers, pronouns, modals, etc.)
✔ Avoid adding unnecessary words
✔ Double-check spelling and tense consistency

It is always lovely to see their confidence grow as they figured out each “missing puzzle piece” in the texts. Step by step, they’re mastering Part 2 for FCE & CAE success! 💬📘✨

🌟 Teen Exam Prep – FCE & CAE 🌟

In last week’s class, our students focused on 🎯 Cambridge Use of English Part 1.
They explored what the task is really testing, discussed common mistakes, and learned practical strategies to avoid exam “traps.”

By the end of the lesson, they knew how to:
✔ Read the text carefully for meaning
✔ Spot correct collocations & phrasal verbs
✔ Use elimination to choose the best option
✔ Manage their time effectively

It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they worked together on exam-style questions. Step by step, they’re building strong skills for FCE & CAE success. 📘✨
