SUMMER RAINBOW! 🤸🏼♀️🌈🤸🏾
While our friends were at school in nature, we worked together, no matter whether we were from the red or yellow class.
We drew in salt with our fingers to practice fine motor and pre-writing skills. We started with easy lines and waves, then we continued with shapes and in the end we wrote numbers and some of us also tried the first letters of their names. (9,10) The next day started by wriggling like worms, jumping like grasshoppers and crawling like spiders. Then we worked Rainbow pebbles, we spoke about the different colours as well as sizes. Using the cards we recreated the pictures on the cards. (3) On Wednesday we played twister to practice the colors and train our bodies. Then everybody worked as a team to make a circle and lines of each color. (1,2) We also practiced math skills by counting the colors and in the end we did a little race. On Thursday we made our day fresher with summer lemonade using paper, cotton pads, lemons and water colors. (4,5,6) First we made a straw by rolling paper, then we made lemons by printing the real lemon on the cotton pads, then we put everything together, added some ice cubes and we were done. We finished the week off by showing off our baking talents and proved to be first class bakers by making white chocolate and raspberry muffins. (7,8)

YOU ARE MY SUPERHERO, DADDY!👨👧👦🗯🦸🏻♂️
This week everybody worked on Father's Day pressent. We enjoyed making a surprises for our superheroes - to our daddys. (5,6)
In yellow class we talked about sunscreen, why is important to wear it and what else we can do to protect from sun (as sunglasses, cap, etc.). (1) We did little experiment with it too. After everyone practiced putting sunscreen on each other,(4) we talked about clothes that we wear in summer. We played little game - we put winter clothes and summer clothes together and everyone needed to decide which clothes they should pack for summer holiday. We also practiced gross motor skills by putting the clothes to the suitcase. Now we are ready (packed) for summer holidays what we look forward that much. (2) We had chance to borrow some of the salty play dough from green class and also press the sea shells and cut out some shapes and next day we painted it. It was a lot of fun and we weren’t scared to get dirty hands. (3)
This week children from red class worked with other classes. We worked on mutual cooperation as well as on helping others.
Last week in green class we reviewed numbers with some counting, filling in the missing number and ordinal numbers. (7) We worked on measuring too. We spoke about different types of measuring tapes and what they would be used for. Working in pairs children first measured themselves, we spoke about how tall they are and compared their heights. (8,9) We decided to made our summer folder and challenged ourselves to colour as neatly as possible. Each child was given a portion of salt dough and had an opportunity to press sea shells into it so see what impression was left in the dough. They also used cutters to cut out shapes of different sea creatures. (10)

LIFE UNDER THE SEA 🌊🦀🦈
Last week we practiced hand control and hand movement in yellow class. We made a starfish from play dough and lentils. (1) We've been learning days of the week using sea animals and sea story. (2) We've seen day pass and come and learned about the sea creatures lives. We reviewed the names of sea animals by playing game: I spy. We finished the theme Life under the sea with our final project. First we prepared sea than we glued sand and sea animals and we added bubbles. (3)
We practiced fine motorics and scissor skills by making moving fish out of colored paper in red class. (4) We also discussed what we can see at the bottom of the sea. We painted and glued the objects. We practiced fine motorics by making star fish from playdough and decorating it and then we counted the objects in our pictures. We practiced fine motorics by threading pasta pieces to make a boat and then used cotton ball pieces to make clouds too. (5)
We started last week in green class by working on our popsicle addition worksheet. We worked individually - independently or with a little help. During our morning circle the children were curious about what people do at the gym so we went to have a look. We had a chance to use the gym balls. (6) Afterwards we revised addition from day before and worked on subtraction. (7) We started our new art project by watching the instructional video and the kids had to determine what resources they needed. Then we cut and folded the paper until we had all the pieces for our fish before putting all the pieces together. (8)
Last week we all together enjoyed the hot summer weather outside and after lunch we cool down ourselves with an ice cream. (9,10)

TOGETHER TOWARDS ADVENTURE 👫🚀✨
Last week, we prepared project 'children supporting children' together and enjoyed morning cake sale. We made flower crowns and bracelets together too. We looked for different flowers which we stuck to our crowns or bracelets. (1,2) The kids also worked together to make the decorations for our performance at the graduation party. (3) And last but not least we spent some time together when we celebrated International Children's Day.
Last week in yellow class we started new theme: life under the sea. We talked about which fishes live in the sea and by cutting the paper plate and coloring it, we made our own fishes. (4,5) We also made a sensory box. First we put a sand to the box, than we added some seashells and sea animal as a wheal, crab, octopus,.... (6) We printed seashells to the sand and learned new words. We counted jellyfish’s tentacles and beads that we put on them to practice fine motor skills. (7) When we were finished with the math we coloured jellyfish’s head and made smiley face.
In red class we listened to the story of a hungry caterpillar and tried to guess what happened based on the pictures. Then we practiced the days of the week and sorted the food the caterpillar ate each day. (8) Finally, we counted the food on each day and fed it to the caterpillar and the kids told the story themselves. We practiced our creative skills and fine motorics by making a nest for little chicks from paper plates. Then we painted and decoratied our nests. (9)
Last week the students in green class identified what shapes different things from the Hungry Caterpillar were. As our final Hungry Caterpillar activity we practiced the days of the week and what he ate on each day. (10) We started our summer theme by reviewing the shapes we covered days before. As a part of Junior Achiever project we discussed how we had raised funds this week and how we can help others.

Last week we had an opportunity to support a good cause together with our community.
The children and parents from Bumble Bee prepared treats and, by donating, you supported our wonderful project ‘children supporting children’. The funds went into a sealed box for the Archa Chantal foundation.
We are very grateful to those who supported us. You made a great difference and made all involved, especially the children, happy. THANK YOU!

Minulý týden jsme měli šanci společně podpořit dobrou věc.
Děti z Bumble Bee, spolu se svými rodiči, připravili občerstvení. Zakoupením vybrané dobroty jste podpořili projekt ,,Děti dětem." Peníze jsme vybírali do zapečetěné krabičky pro nadaci Archa Chantal.
Jsme vděční, že jsme spolu s Vámi, byli součástí toho projektu. Vaše podpora vykouzlila úsměv na tváři mnoha lidem, zejména dětem. DĚKUJEME!

On Thursday June 1st we celebrated International Children’s Day with lot of balloons, face painting and ice cream milkshakes we made ourself.

Ve čtvrtek 1. června jsme společně oslavili Mezinárodní den dětí. Užili jsme si spousty zábavy s balónky, malováním na obličej na přání a zmrzlinovo-mléčným shakem, který jsme si sami připravili.

bumblebees have a very complex visual system?
A bumblebee has a total of five eyes. The two large, main eyes (oceli complex) are found on the side of the head, while the three simpler, smaller eyes (ocelli) form a triangle on the top of the head. This arrangement allows the bumblebee a significantly wider angle of view.
The bumblebee doesn’t only use sight when moving around or to distinguish between different flowers by their colour and shape, they also use it to determine different UV radiation.
The eyes of bumblebees are larger than the eyes of bees, and the individual species of bumblebee and psithyrus can often be distinguished by a simple detail, such as the position and distance of the individual eyes.

VĚDĚLI JSTE, že ...
čmeláci mají velmi komplexní zrakový systém?
Čmelák má celkem pět očí. Dvě hlavní velké oči (oceli complexi) a tři menší, jednodušší (ocelli).
Dvě hlavní po straně hlavy a tři menší postavené do trojúhelníku na temeni hlavy.
Díky komplexnímu zrakovému systému má čmelák výrazně širší úhel pohledu. Zrak čmelákům pomáhá nejen při pohybu, ale i při výběru květin. Rozlišuje tak barvu, tvar, ale i jednotlivá UV záření.
Oči čmeláků jsou větší než oči včely a jednotlivé druhy čmeláků a pačmeláku může mnohdy rozlišovat pouhý detail, jako třeba postavení a vzdálenost jednotlivých očí.
