Take a look at our beautiful new Early Years display: “From our classroom to the world!” 🌍✨
For our latest classroom project, the children brought in photos from their memorable family trips around the world. As you can see, our display board is now filled with lines connecting our classroom directly to beautiful destinations across the globe. 🗺️🚀
The best part of this project? Listening to our students proudly share their favorite holiday stories, building their confidence and language skills with every adventure told. We might be learning together in Prague, but our horizons are truly global! 🌟

Our Year 7, 8, 9, and 10 Czech History students recently stepped outside the classroom to visit a deeply powerful exhibition: Life Behind Walls: North Korea at the Holešovice Market Hall.
The exhibition offered our students a raw, immersive look into the harsh realities of living under a totalitarian regime. For a generation raised in freedom, seeing the stark contrast of everyday life, propaganda, and strict control in North Korea was an incredibly moving and thought-provoking experience.
Connecting historical concepts of totalitarianism to modern global realities is a vital part of how we teach history. It challenges our students to think critically, value their own rights, and develop deep empathy as global citizens. We were incredibly proud of the mature discussions and insightful questions our students brought to the exhibition. 🧠✨

Future Musicians in the Making! 🎵
Our primary schoolers had an absolute blast getting hands-on at our music workshop! They stepped into the shoes of real musicians, exploring everything from the keys of the piano and strings of the guitar to the classical bows of the violin and cello, and the wind power of the flute.
It wasn’t about playing a flawless symphony—it was about pure curiosity, laughs at the first few squeaks, and the thrill of trying something brand new. 🌟

Conquering hills, navigating forests, and making memories! 🪵🥾
Our incredible Bronze and Silver DofE participants recently took on the stunning wilderness of Central Bohemia for their adventurous journey practice. From mastering map reading to setting up camp and keeping team spirits high through the rugged terrain, these students showed true resilience, independence, and teamwork.
The practice is officially complete, and the real expedition is just around the corner. We couldn’t be prouder of their grit and determination! 💪✨

The foundation for a happy, confident future starts here ✨
At Perrott Hill British School Prague, our Early Years program is so much more than just childcare. It is a warm, welcoming space where young learners aged 3 to 5 discover that school is a place of wonder, friendship, and endless exploration.
As our Headteacher for Early Years, Radka Žáková, beautifully puts it: “Our goal is for every child to feel happy and at ease when coming to school.” By blending the rigorous British National Curriculum with a nurturing, play-based philosophy, we give our youngest students the best possible start. From English language immersion to active outdoor play in our huge school garden, we respect individual needs and listen to every child’s voice.
