On Thursday, 16 April 2026, Leiden University will be holding its annual Alumni event in Brussels. It is open to all MA EPS graduates who studied at Leiden University as part of their degree programme.

The guest speaker is Mr Geoffrey van Leeuwen, who is the Chief of Staff and Director of the Office of the Secretary General at NATO headquarters in Brussels. He manages the staff supporting Secretary General Mark Rutte and previously held roles in the Netherlands as diplomat, National Security Advisor and Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation.

The speech will be followed by a Q&A, moderated by Dr Maxine David of Leiden University; followed by networking drinks and snacks.
