Our preschoolers are experiencing the wonders of nature firsthand. Watching chicks hatch, they’ve seen that every life unfolds in its own time, following a unique and natural rhythm. 🐣🐥

✨It was a pleasure to be part of the Jobspin Job and Relocation Fair and to connect with so many inspiring people. ✨

The atmosphere was vibrant, welcoming, and full of opportunity – we enjoyed every moment. With 52 exhibitors representing a wide range of industries and 2,250 visitors, the event was a clear success. 🎓💼

Congratulations to the organizers, and thank you for including us. We’re already looking forward to next year. 🫶

✨ Bubeneč Campus: Coming to Life 🏫

One year ago, we began transforming a historic villa in Prague 6 – Bubeneč. Today, a brand-new campus is rising in its place. 🏗️

👩‍🎓👨‍🎓 With the original structure removed, modern classrooms and shared spaces are now taking shape—designed for a growing community and set to open in September 2026.

Starting in April, you can step inside our preview space and see the future for yourself. 🫶

Spring is for planting together 🌱

At BASIS Prague, we aim to create a warm, family-like environment where children feel safe to explore and grow.

Moments like these reflect how our community is shaped by children, parents, and teachers together. 🫶

Children and their parents decorated flower pots, created garden ornaments, and planted seeds of chives, basil, and parsley. 🪴🎨

❤️It was a joyful afternoon filled with creativity and connection—and now we look forward to seeing the first green leaves appear.

📆 From April 18, 2026, it will link Smíchov and Podolí—making access to BASIS Prague even easier across the city.

📝 Ano, je to tady, můžete si vzít diáře a napsat si: V pátek 17. dubna 2026 nás čeká sláva a od soboty 18. dubna se poprvé svezeme pravidelnými linkami tramvají a autobusů přes Vltavu po novém mostě.

ℹ️ Se všemi změnami vás budeme průběžně seznamovat, ale už nyní si rychle prosvištíme některá slovíčka:

Kde?
Ze Smíchova do Podolí. I naopak.

Pro koho?
Pěší, cyklisté, IZS, tramvaje a autobusy.

Proč?
Aby to bylo rychlejší a komfortnější.

Co pojede jinak? To už musíme rozepsat.

Tramvaje:
2️⃣ pojede z Moráně nově rovně přes Nusle na Náměstí Bratří Synků.
4️⃣ vyrazí z Anděla na Radlickou.
6️⃣ se na Nádraží Holešovice převlékne na 3️⃣4️⃣ a dojede přes Vltavskou a Dlouhou třídu k Bílé labuti.
7️⃣ z Anděla na Kotlářku.
1️⃣4️⃣ dočasně zrušena a nahrazena 2️⃣4️⃣ a 3️⃣4️⃣.
1️⃣5️⃣ z Anděla na Sídliště Barrandov.
2️⃣0️⃣ od Smíchovského nádraží přes Dvorecký most směr Braník a Sídliště Modřany.
2️⃣1️⃣ ze Slivence a Barrandov na Dvorecký most, přes Podolí, Palackého náměstí, I. P. Pavlova a Vršovické náměstí na Kubánské náměstí.
2️⃣4️⃣ z Náměstí Bratří Synků dále do Spořilova.
3️⃣4️⃣ jsme zmínili výše, od Bílé labutě do Holešovic a pak jako linka 6️⃣.

Autobusy:
Linkám spojujícím Prahu 4 a Smíchov nabídne Dvorecký most vítané zkrácení jízdní doby a zejména mnohem vyšší jistotu průjezdu bez zpoždění. Na samotný most zamíří 118, 124, 196 a 197, větší změny nastanou zejména v oblasti Prahy 4.

✨ Mathematics Olympiad ✨

This January, the 75th edition of the Mathematics Olympiad took place. Two of our students placed in the district round. 📐

🎉👏Congratulations to Antonia Konárová and David Nguyen for their excellent performance in the most prestigious primary & secondary school competition with over 70 years of tradition in Czech Republic.

In the Z5 category, they both succeeded in a strong field of young mathematicians and became successful problem solvers. David Nguyen placed among the top students in the district round. 🏅

🎓🫶 We are proud of their logical thinking, perseverance, and outstanding representation of the school!

At BASIS Prague, every day is an opportunity for students to care for themselves and others. Through small, thoughtful actions, they help create a school where respect, courage, kindness, and resilience are more than words. They’re lived experiences 🫶

Teachers recognize these moments with Shining Otter Tickets 🦦🎟️, celebrating students who embody our school values in everyday life. Every Friday, one ticket from each Level is drawn, and those students receive a certificate honoring their contribution to the community. 📜

🦦 Why the Otter?

🐾 Our school mascot, the otter, reflects the spirit of our community – curious, playful, and connected. This year, our students and staff strengthened that connection by adopting a North American river otter at the Prague Zoo, making this symbol part of our school family in a meaningful way. 🌱
