Day 4

What would a sports camp be without a little friendly rivalry. At the request of our campers we HAD to play another game of baseball. So English lesson was cut short to settle the score. And in a perfect way of universal balance the game ended in a draw.

The competition didn't end there! The much anticipated trip to lasergame Braník had everyone ducking and diving to end up on top.

Day 3

We learnt about some Czech Olympians. We practiced our reading by reading for key words and answering comprehension questions.

In sport we played football and hockey (floorball) with everyone working up a sweat and having fun.

Day 2

Today we learnt about how to describe different sports and how to form the right questions. Is it a winter or summer sport? Is it played inside or outside? Is it a team sport or individual? We got our hands dirty and had a lot of fun making some dough medals.

In sport back by popular demand BASEBALL. The competition was fierce and the game had both teams locked run for run all afternoon. There can only be one winner and eventually team 1 closed the game out in the last round 28-25.

Summer camp 2023

We introduced this year's theme
The Summer Olympics.
We learnt about the history of the Olympics. Where it all started and some of the sports and differences between the ancient Olympics and the Olympics today. We learnt some new English vocabulary to get the group talking about the theme.

In sport we held a table tennis tournament. Congratulations to our medalists:

2nd Matyáš
3rd Monika/Ema
We then tried some gymnastics moves and finished off with some freestyle trampoline. Great start to a big week!

Na týdenním docházkovém táboře s angličtinou zažijí děti nová prázdninová dobrodružství a přitom si díky rodilým mluvčím zlepší výslovnost a přestanou se bát mluvit anglicky.

Wow Letošní rok musí být rekordní. Máme téměř 50 dětí ve všech lokalitách. Děkuji vám všem. Těším se na výzvu.

Wow. This year must be a record. All classes are full, we have almost 50 kids across all locations. Thank you all. I am looking forward to the challenge.

Day Five: The United Kingdom

Where it all began. The English world and the English language. We learnt about her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth and the countries that make up the United Kingdom.

In sport we played cricket, then finished off with gymnastics and climbing.

What an amazing week. Can't wait to do it all again next year 😊

Day Four: Field trip

We had a big day. First stop areal Vltavanů to test our climbing skills. Then off to lasergame Braník. To cool off after the fierce battle we enjoyed a water fight.

Day Three: New Zealand
Today in the workshop we turned into Maori warriors and learnt the world renown Haka.

In sport we played New Zealand's game. Rugby. Although first we had to settle the score and find a winner from yesterday's baseball game. Team 1 were too good winning 33-22.
