Bohemian Toastmasters

We had a charming 🪄 meeting on Monday! We used a magic coffee grinder to travel back in time 🕰️ to our first Toastmasters meeting. We built a palace 🏯 and each of us contributed by our hidden superpower 🦹‍♀️. We learnt who is Hristo and what unexpected lesson we can get from a trip to Rome - in two brilliant inspirational speeches 🎤. And the Table Topics… 🙈 We talked 1-2 minutes about weird noises like creaking door 🚪 or train whistle 🚂.

We had an extremely interesting meeting on Monday 🤩. We heard great tips on positive thinking from Jakub 👍 and very deep, emotional and thought-provoking speech on fears by Mei 👏. Of course, we enjoyed some thrill during Table Topics and got lots of valuable feedback. The best Table Topic award: Jakub Dvořák, the best evaluator award: Cécile Chambolle 👏🥳

We are happy and proud to announce the great success 🏆 of our members at the Toastmasters Area C3 contest. Veronika Löw placed first in Humorous speeches 🎊. Karel Nedvěd won Table Topics 🎉. Congratulations! 🍾 and fingers crossed for the division level 🤞🍀

Yesterday, we joined Veronika on her path to a vision 🛣️, we realized much our languages are unfair to left-handers ✋ and we celebrated their international day by trying to write with both hands ✍️. We enjoyed the thrill of left and right Table Topics 🎤 and get loads of valuable feedback. Thanks to all who participated! 🙏

The last meeting, excellently moderated by Veronika 👏🙏, was devoted to our senses 👀👂✋👃👅 . We used all five of them to perceive the Table Topic questions 😆. We heard a touching icebreaker of Katerina ❤️ and a speech about dreams coming true the wrong way by Tomas.
Aaaand… we had some chocolate and fruit 🍫 🍑😋.

At our latest Toastmasters meeting, we looked back at the past—not for nostalgia, but to uncover lessons that inspire growth and new opportunities. It was a truly motivational session filled with energy and progress.

We were also moved by an inspiring Icebreaker speech that reminded us of the courage and strength it takes to step out of one’s comfort zone and begin a journey of self-improvement. 💪✨

✨ Bridging Cultures, Celebrating Diversity ✨

Another fantastic Monday evening at Bohemian Toastmasters Club, where our members took the stage to grow, inspire, and connect! 🌍🎤

During the session about the mosaic of cultures we celebrated the richness of many nationalities and traditions. We explored stories that spanned continents, from insightful speeches about cultural adaptation to engaging table topics that made us reflect on our own global journeys. 🌎✨

One of the highlights was a captivating speech about the experiences of expats settling in Prague—packed with eye-opening facts, heartfelt moments, and a touch of humor. Another speaker delivered their Icebreaker Speech, bravely stepping onto the Toastmasters stage for the first time and sharing their unique perspective. Learning, and inspiration filled the room as speakers delivered their best, and the feedback session ensured we all walked away with valuable insights for future growth. 📚👏
