Absolventka doktorského studijního programu Etnologie a kulturní antropologie dr. Timea Crofony získala prestižní ocenení AIS 2026 Halpern Best Dissertation Award za svoji disertační práci. Gratulujeme a níže posíláme více informací:
Dr. Timea Crofony received the Association for Israel Studies (AIS) 2026 Halpern Best Dissertation Award for her dissertation, "The Intimate State of Israel: Politics of Desire and Secular Israeli Jews", completed at Charles University last year under the supervision of dr. Marcela Menachem Zoufalá (Institute of Czech Literature and Comparative Studies, Faculty of Arts, Charles University).
This year’s competition was exceptionally strong, with numerous impressive submissions from institutions around the world. Dr. Crofony’s work distinguished itself through its originality, scholarly rigor, and significant contribution to the field of Israel Studies.
Winning this prestigious award reflects the high esteem in which Dr. Crofony’s research is held by the AIS Awards Committee.
Dr. Crofony will be formally bestowed the Halpern Best Dissertation Award at the upcoming AIS Annual Conference, where we look forward to celebrating her achievement together with the Israel Studies scholarly community.
